It is a very bad decision you made

You should not have quit your job before you started making enough money.

But for now I would say pick any one of WSO methods and follow it to perfection.

Don't fall victim to information overload and never do more than one thing at one time.

the reason i quit my job is that i was working too much for too less money... and i am sure i can earn more on the internet than what i used to earn at work

Anyway, how to get started? Be positive in your ability, realise there isnt any get rich quick schemes and get a presence on the net. A personal blog of your journey is a great place to start. Go back to basics....plan,plan,plan. I have some of my goals on my blog please swipe what you need.

Big decision risking to give up job security for this BUT, good on you for taking the leap and hopefully it pays off. In terms of getting starting and moving forword; those WSO's you purchased; Follow them, learn and implement the methods/techniques put forward by the Warriors. Spend time reading alot around this forum and you will have a very solid base platform and knowledge on how to progress.

That's very brave of you to quit your job. Better get start on researching and learning how to make more sicne you'll be able to spend a lot of time to master IM and your business. At least you manage your own time and maximize what you have.

Congrats on the big move and big payout. Now the decision has been made. Try ONE method and stick to it. If it fails at the end of your 100 percent effort then try another method. Don't try to do too many things with little effort, focus on one and find what works best for you!

I quit my job on Friday 4th June and am ready for the battle. I personaly don't believe you can succeed at IM if you stay in the "confort zone" of the so called "secure Job".
I would advise you to keep doing part time jobs just so you are able to pay the bills but otherthan that, concentrate on IM - am sure you can make it!
Ohh...by the way, am moving to Perth so we could probably meet one day if either one of us travels across the desert!
I know Melbourne has quite a few Internet Marketeers, try looking on this forum.

You are doing things in an usual, most work nights to establish a steady income before leaving the stability of a job. Either way have a plan in place, maybe contract work to generate steady reliable income while you work at generating revenue through other channels.

I agree...very bad move......IM takes time..to build a fulltime income.

If you were 16 years old id say yeah go for it take a chance but you look a little older.

Sure working a job sucks and its very easy to get sucked in by the gurus with their huge figure claims and "its so easy to make money online sitting on the toilet" but its all BS to get people to buy.

Its hard work and takes a long time for most people. If you think your going to make a good income in 4.5 months with the little skills you have, then think again.

And there is nothing harder in life as a marketer than nhaving all the pressure of having no job whilst trying to make an income online.

Can you handle it?

If I were you I'd try and get that job back and then make a real solid IM plan.

Hell worst case scenario you could work for 1 month, save $1000, choose a niche and pay someone to write you a few hundred articles, at least that way you'd be practically guaranteed some sort of income.

Anyway its your life so do as you want, good luck either way.

Well, I hope you don't end up like me with a huge amount of debt because you had to charge groceries on your credit card in order for your family to eat (I didn't quite my job, I got laid off).

Anyway, you need to make a plan and stick with it - don't jump to the next method without giving the one you choose a proper chance of several months. I think almost any method can work if you apply it properly but most people quit before their efforts can bear fruit.

The problem with quitting your job before you have the income to replace it is that you will soon find that you are in a panic because your money is running out and that may cause you to make rash decisions.

You might be smart to think about spending a good amount of time cultivating your freelancing business so that you have steady money coming in until your more passive IM ventures kick in a steady income.

You will have to treat this as a job.

Get organinzed and decide on what you are going to do.

You have to pick something and decide to be successful at it.

You will have to get determined.

It does not matter whether it was a good decision or bad decision. It is made.

Do some services for other marketers in order to get some money coming in and you might decide to make it your business.

Go to your public library and get at least one book teaching you how to sell, there are lots of book recommendation threads.

Sell your TV, seriously, you no longer have time and there is nothing worth your time on there.

Spend time around optimists (oh..shoot you may have to spend less time here).

Join the War Room if you don't know what to do yet. Find an experience warrior, or just keep trying methods (make sure you follow them through) until they work. Stop buying WSOs. Period.

Don't tell people in these threads that you quit your job. They will spend the first gazillion posts for criticizing you. Forget that. The decision is made. Now, make the best of it. The same people will applaud you once you get to your goal.

Set goals and don't go to bed unless you have accomplished them which goes back to being organized. And when I say that you need to treat this as a job; take a look at your work area, and work space. Does it make you want to work? Is it close to your TV? Is it in the same room as your sweetie or your kids? Make it into a work space for you.

Finally, you have lost the luxury of having days off. So until you make it; no parties, no friends over, no beer sessions with your buddies. No Wine, women and song...well you CAN play some music at your PC. You have forfeited the right to leisure. Because you have to learn and earn IM at the same time.

I think you should maybe make sure that you get to church on Sunday. Then set your behind back down at your computer. Also read the Scriptures every day; God can help you to see that the impossible is possible. Spend time in prayer also, and stop talking to naysayers. You will get ten times farther talking to God than to naysayers.

I say if you want to maintain your life the way it was. Forget it. There are no luxuries to be had until you make it.

I would find one 'system', learn it properly and then implement it. There's no point flitting from one moneymaking method to another, because you'll get nowhere fast.

Well I left my job after getting my bonus and I never looked back... the first 7 months was tough because I didn't make nothing... but I just kept on going. That's what you need to do... when the obstacles come, you need to face them head on and never give up... Also... implement what you read... no point buying a bunch of WSO's you never read (because of info overload)

Just take one, implement, get the results and either scale up if it works or change your strategy if it doesn't and try again

Oh, and put SOMETHING in your signature file and sell it. I see you have something, but get a website...a link or something. You are now officially an internet marketer. Full time.

He's not on here asking whether it was a good idea to quit his job. You don't know his circumstances.

Shounak, my suggestion to you would be to sit down and make a list of your strengths and your weaknesses. You have a strength in web site development so that's great. Maybe you could develop a WSO around that strength and start earning some residual income quickly.

For now, I would not recommend going in a completely foreign area. Stick with IM niches where you can exploit your existing strengths so you can start generating some income fairly quickly. After that you can start branching out into new areas.

Once you have chosen a direction you wish to move in - STICK WITH IT! Don't allow yourself to be lured off by the next shiny new WSO offering you the world. Stick to your guns and stay the course!

I have been dreaming of quiting my job for a while.

But I will never quit untill I am making (not just a good income but) a great income online.

Remember, an online business is just like an offline business.

It can start going down as fast as it came up.

good decision if you stick by your future project

here is my advice, your mission should you accpet it, is to create as much products and offer as you can for the next 30 days

with your experience, creating your first product can be done within days

if you don't know where to start and which product to select, get "your secret wealth" from Jay Abraham(you can find some deals on ebay)

this is the only way out, having your own product selling, and after you have your first out, you will have a better picture on your next move

Big Balls dude lol. Since this is already done I would start by sticking to ONE thing. Whether it be affiliate marketing, cpa marketing, or creating your own product. Stick to one thing until you are making your goal of income and move onto the next.

Who cares what everyone else is saying that it is a bad decision the choice is yours it is your life and you only live once so why not be happy?

They call us Entrepreneurs for a reason when we see a great business opportunity online, or off we reach out and seize the opportunity.

Think rich to get rich and I think it took a lot of courage to kick your 9 to 5 to the curb. People that cannot do that are the ones who are stuck in a boring existence, and more than likely a dead end job.

Live life, do what you love, and if you get Rich it is a bonus. If you die broke at least you did something that made you happy. The U.S is built around small business owners and Entrepreneurs. If they all listened to what everyone else told them I guarantee there would be a lot less well off, happy, business people out there.

Take a chance, live your life, be happy, and congratulations on your courage it is already a good move if it makes you happier!

internet marketing isn't something you just do on the side. if it is, then you are not a successful internet marketer.

Maybe you should have a plan and be implementing that plan FIRST and then quit your job. Shouldn't you make sure your business is making money first and then quit? Another person putting the cart before the horse.

I would never quit my job no matter how much I am making money online.

LOL - skipped all the posts. You started off well, then finished badly. I thought this might be a success story - but it's just another plea for help. I would be in the same boat but don't have the luxury of quitting my day job. I do wish you the best of luck, though. And I'd be interested to hear how you do from now on. If nothing else, you have "cahunas" and I hope you can pull it off. (not literally, fnaaa)

Whether it was a good decision or not doesn't matter at this point. It was the decision you made and now you've got to do something about it. Like everyone else here has said pick a method and stick with it until you master it.

Most importantly get a plan and GET TO WORK! Spend the money you still have coming in wisely and get your internet business rolling. None of this sitting around surfing the web all day. This is your new job, and unless you treat it like you would any other job, i.e. doing it every day and for more than an hour or two, you aren't going to get anywhere.

You took a leap of faith, and there's something to be said for that. Now make sure you find you don't forget to pull the cord on your chute. Faith will only get you so far, master the basics and start getting that cash rolling in.

while i have to congratulate you on your brave move, i'm a little worried at the same time considering your current knowledge on living online. i myself quit my corporate job 3.5 years back and never looked back but i've been doing this for 12 years and was already making a full time earning just doing it on the side. reason i left my job was because i knew if i had all the time to focus on my business, i would make lot more than a day job.

while its not impossible to learn and earn online, i'm afraid 3 months might not be enough to get you to a full time living considering that you are just starting up. it takes months just to figure out things on your own.

you need few sites and few different projects, then you will need to test different methods on different sites to see what works and what not. thats how i learned myself. dont believe everything you read online and lot of info you will find are outdated and misleading.

one good thing about quiting your job is that you will be on your toes and will have no choice but to make it work. no slacking around give that a try and worst case senario, you will need to find another job or get back to your old job if you are leaving in good terms.

dont let anyone discourage you, give that a shot and with enough focus and dedication, you might be able to make it work over time.

Bah don't listen to the naysayers man. By quitting you are forcing yourself to go big or go broke. You can always return to workworld, but NOW is the time to get your business running. Your going to make money and you will be fine. Because you have too now. People who sit on the fence NEVER EVER make real money.

Take no handouts, take no assistance, take no entitlements, take no prisoners.

1.) Build a list
2.) Decide your niche and get your squeezepage up.
3.) Brainstorm one night and write 100 ways to make money in that niche. Pay specific attention to your last 20 ideas cause this is where your subconscious kicks in.
4.) Implement multiple revenue streams and ask yourself the question a guru that I know asks himself every day. "What have I actively done to make money today?"
5.) Rinse and Repeat

Okay I see where you are going with this. I wish you much luck on your endeavor. It can definitely be done. You just have to have the focus that's all.

Almost all of the positive posts here say to pick an action plan and stick with it and focus your actions and I agree with that 100%.

If you have skills in web design maybe you could create a package of landing and sales page templates and sell them with plr to IMers. If they were done well and you could get some testimonials you might even sell them here if you were a memberof the war room.

I was in same situation few years ago. I quit my job before having established online marketing. It were hard 6 months to get first bucks.
My suggestion is even switching to making money online, still concentrate on the field you've working on and you have the best knowledge.

Great move! Congratulations for making such a bold decision. It is great since you have different sources of income. Concentration is what is needed for one to be successful and that is what you have decided to do.

In order to get started on what you want, first focus on the inside to be sure of what you want and passionate about. If you start on the outside, you will have a problem because you will want to do many things and they will end up confusing you.
