Laughable reason for a refund

Hey Warriors,

I got this note from a refund confirmation message from CB:

"I already had downloaded this. Please credit account.
Thank you."

You can refund if you're not satisfied. But what kind of valid reason is this?

Michael, I think what he was trying to say is that he had purchased it
already.

Check your records to see if you have another purchase from this same
person. I'm sure that's what it is.

Or, he's just a very stupid serial refunder.

I've had tons of refunds like this... people are SO desperate they buy the same program by accident.

  I have people purchasing the same product twice...not lots, but a few customers do it. It is a genuine mistake. I instantly refund them without question. Guess what, they buy my very next product!

How can he not know he has already purchased it, or is it possible that CB processed his order twice even if he ordered only once?

Michael, that happens. Sometimes they double bill because the browser
hangs up or something and the purchaser hits refresh.

I've seen several duplicate sales come in one after another.

Drives me crazy.

Ahhh I've done it too... That or I'll see something I like, but it looks familiar. So I search my receipts, and find that yes I did buy it, but can't for the life of me find it on my computer. So I have to email the poor product owner to get access again with my old PayPal receipt.

I'm sure its a pain for them, but hey - at least I'm a happy customer! LOL

Man, I had a super pissed customer once it was *MY* Fault that he was charged the VAT.

The one that has made me laugh the most was something like "It was not enough about Affiliate Marketing." It's funny b/c my product is not AT ALL about affiliate marketing and I never act like it is even close.

Seriously though, I think Steven is right. He may have purchased your product before and didn't realise it. In this case, checking your records will varify it.

It's best to refund them quickly anyway if they can make a claim at PayPal.

I've had people buy some of my older products 3 times. Kind of odd but it makes you realize that you are striking a chord with your sales letter.

My favorite refund request was from a non-customer who actually almost got a refund by how he asked for it. I took a closer look and found out that he was just trying to line his pockets. I'll refrain from saying how he did it, but it sure was convincing.

How about this one:

"I left my credit card on my office desk, near my computer.

By the time I came back from taking a serious poop from last nights can of beans, I found my cat typing in my CC details, and pressed the PROCESS button. WTF!

This is crazy. I am so angry with my cat.
