Yahoo Trend Data
Is anyone out there using yahoo trend data? or bing? I know a lot of people talk about google trends, but I tend to find that what they're posting is a few hours behind when the search terms are actually trending. also, I find that in the middle of the day, google is showing me irrelevant terms like "gas station" and "grocery store", whereas yahoo gives me more relevant terms and they update on the fly.
You can get yahoo trend data both on the front page of yahoo, for search terms, as well as on the news subdomain on yahoo for news trends (make sure you note when the page updates and gives the single "trending now" term at the top center where it usually says "Make Y! My Homepage").
The only thing I don't like about Yahoo trends is how cumbersome it is to update and gather info about what is trending & I was wondering if anyone else uses the data and has found a good way or even a program that gathers the data?
