Phillipino VA Internet Connection Issues?

Hi All,

Has anyone else been experiencing connection problems due to "power outages" in the Phillipines?

Usually my VA works for me from 7PM to 11PM, but too often gets OL late or not at all

So is anyone else experiencing anything similar if your VA is Phillipino based?

    Yes, this is a common problem in certain areas. They have rolling brownouts and there are times of the day when VA's cannot get online. It depends on the area ... some areas have it, some don't.

    My VA's all make up that time by shifting their work schedule. Some brownouts are planned and can be scheduled around, but some are unplanned.

    So chances are they aren't making that up as an excuse ... it's a real problem in some areas. (typically it's not an issue in Manila, but in some of the other areas -- I've seen it as an issue in IloIlo and Iligan City).

    I second that! That's the reason why I don't require constant communication with them and it's output oriented. I give them their task and they give me an update via email. So far, I'm satisfied with it.
