Making a simple Squidoo lens

This may seem like a ridiculous question but I'm trying to make a lens on Squidoo and didn't realise it is so complicated.
I read a few lens that have some answers to my questions but I'm confused.
I'm trying to add a picture and then make it a link to the landing page and also make some of the text clickable.
Does any one have a report on how to do this?

Thanks for the help.

Things have changed around recently, I have a video that teaches how to use Squidoo but I need to update it, you can go to my BuildingSocialEquity.com site that I will be launching soon and if you DM me I will give you a free account to check it out if you would like.

Check out the free video on www.SquidooBible.com. It doesn't cover the .html issues you're asking about, but those are coming along shortly.

    Noel,

It is simple to do that.

Just add a new "Text/Write Module" or use an existing one. When you click on the "Edit" button, you should find yourself in the text area where you do all your editing, both plain text and html.

    Take these steps.
    • Upload the image you want to use to your website, flickr account, etc. Note the whole URL to the image. Eg http:// www.Mywebsite.com/ imagename.jpg .
    • Go to the "Text/Write Module" that you created above and click "Edit".
    • Now add this tag where you want the image to appear: <a href="http ://www.MyWebsiteURL.com"><img src="http:// www.Mywebsite.com/imagename.jpg" /></a>
    • Now click "Save" and you should see how it will appear on your lens when you publish it.
You should of course, change the URLs above to those of your own. If you follow all these steps, as outlined, you should have a clickable image that leads to the the page that you want.

    I hope this helps.

    ~Muhammad
