Welcome to the forum Jay and the world of IM.

There are many way of making money in IM. My best advice is to find a method that you fell comfortable with and consistant action. Once you have made money with that method go on to the next method, if needs be, or expand on the first method.

I suggest that you do as I say and not do as I have done. There are too many 'shiney new objects' that will come along and distract you.

If possible work with a 'mentor' that will guide you throught the maze.

Welcome Jay,

Just take your time to take it all in here on the WF. Take lots of notes, actually start a notebook and start copying some relevant posts on the different topics here and put it in your notebook for further study.

You will soon learn what the newbies, the intermediates and the experts are concerned about at any given time.

Then, slowly start making something happen online. I strongly suggest getting started in selling affiliate products. But before that, learn how to put up an opt in page to start building your list. Learn that first. Had I started my onlilne journey all over again, I would have put all my efforts into these two things.

@suffolkman: Thanks for that great advice Peter, my friend said all that shines is not always Gold...will definitely keep my eyes open. As for finding a mentor, I hope I will be lucky enough to find someone who'd be willing to guide me through...

Hi Jay.. Welcome to the group. No doubt you can learn quite a ways to earn money online, but before that you need to make yourself sound in some concepts. Just go through the forum, read different threads, take part in different discussions. You can get to know things and then you can easily move on.

Hi Jay!

Glad to meet you! The world of IM is exciting and dangerous at the same time. You could blow a lot of money if you're not careful, but then again, you could become a millionaire.

I would co-sign the above advice regarding all the shiny things on the 'net. You can get distracted very easily and get pulled into jumping from the next big thing to the next big thing. DON'T DO IT!

A mentor is a wonderful thing to have in this jungle. And not just any mentor; one who is available to answer questions and explain a step-by-step strategy in laymen's terms. The down side to this is most people would not mentor you for free. You have to be willing to pay for most good coaching.

I'll send you a PM with some more info, if you would like. It's about a coaching class I just finished which I am not affiliated with (meaning I don't make any money for referring you) and I don't own.

Just let me know in this thread if you would like the info (you don't have enough posts yet to PM me).

Welcome to the forum.

I remember first landing here and feeling so lost and confused. I would encourage you to hit the the main internet marketing forum and just start reading everything you can get your eyes on. Just read and read and read. Eventually you will begin to find things that you are interested in more than other, then just proceed down the path that interests you the most.

This an awesome community and most everyone here is really helpful when you have a question. The search function is pretty good to use, especially because most of the questions you are going to have over the next several weeks have probably been asked before. As always, the only stupid question is the one that is never asked.

@GoogleWarrior: Thanks, I did read about the warroom earlier today, but I haven't made a single cent yet nor do I have a concrete plan to utilize the benefits offered by the warroom. I know it's a great long term investment and I will definitely give it a go as soon as have an plan!

Welcome Jay, My advice to you will be to find a Niche and stick to it. Don't listen to all the hype of making millions over night. Stay focused and keep taking consistent action, don't give up. It will surely pay off if you stick to it. Another great advice I would give you that would greatly help you is to find a mentor here on the forum with a great reputation, you can't go wrong with that. All the best and welcome to this great adventure.

There are a lot of things to learn and to read to do.
After to do something, check the forum and get an idea of what you will like to do.
If you are in doubt, ask questions.
There are many ways to make money in Internet Marketing.
Find a method that is comfortable and consistent actions to you, then if you have made money with your founded way, expand it or go to the next method.
If you work with a mentor, that will be good because he will guide you through the maze.

Welcome here, there are many ways to earn money online. It depends on you which method you adopt. Visit this forum regularly and see different posts by expert and study them and find few useful methods which you like. Make short notes then try to implement them. I think you will get lot of information here and you will be able to earn extra money for your baby.

Hi Jay. Welcome to the Warrior Forum! My advice to you would be to take action as soon as possible! The biggest mistake a lot of people make (and I am guilty of this) is that they try to figure everything out before they start doing anything. If I were you, I would get familiar with a few basic terms in IM, and then find a method and stick to it!

Learn how to do everything in the method you follow, and don't deviate from the method at all.

If you try to learn everything before getting started, you won't make anything! There is so much to learn today that there is no way anyone can know everything. Figure out how you want to start, and get moving!

You seem like you have the right attitude for this business. IM is a great 2nd career or great 1st career if you know what you are doing. Don't give up your day job (for now), and make sure you make time for the family, and you will do great!
