  Thought I would put together a bit longer explanation of how I did it.
  
  Once upon a time.... LOL
  
  Seriously though, about 10 months ago now I got suckered into MLM.
  
  About all that did for me, apart from emptying a bank account and maxing out a credit card, was give me the idea that a full time income from internet marketing may be possible.
  
  Thus started my journey.
  
  My skill set was - I could type, do research and send emails -that was it.
  I had no idea what HTML was, had no idea how to upload to a site or even that something called wordpress existed.
  
  I had, and still have, a huge learning curve.
  
  Spent thousands on every shiny object that came my way - all in the hope that the promised push button wealth making machine would magically appear and my bank account would rake in thousands overnight. LOL. That didn't happen.
  
  What did happen was that I learnt to take action, I learnt how to upload sites, I learnt what wordpress was, I got a clickbank account, an Amazon account, and a Google adsense account. (I would have got a cheque from them except they moved the goalposts and made it $150 minimum payout.)
  
  My first Amazon site was made by using Dan Brock's Profitzon. I can still remember pausing his videos and then going off to do what he had told me to do, it would take me hours to get through each video, but I learnt heaps. Keyword research, domain, amazon product build a wordpress site, all were learnt from his training package.
  
  I now have a very simple system in place:
  
  Keyword research - Market Samurai.
  Phrase Match, 100 searches per day, SEO comp less than 100 000, OCI more than 50% dot com, dot net or dot org as domain match. (part of the package from Bring the Fresh)
  
  Web site Construction -I have tried many different themes and have settled on Socrates. I find it super easy and can have a site up optimized in about half an hour.
  
  Domain Hosting - I am with D9 hosting and have a reseller account. I try to build 10 sites a month. Some work, some don't. I don't sweat it, move on to something that works.
  
  SEO - I learnt heaps from Bring the Fresh (Mike Long and Kelly Felix) I have 15 sites page one now. I can build a site and have it ranked on page one very quickly. My last Amazon site had its first sale within 3 weeks.
  
  Amazon Tweaking - Learnt basics from Profitzon, a huge amount from this forum and have rounded it off with Paula C's Amazonian Profit Plan.
  
  Traffic - at the moment I am starting article marketing. I have been relying on keyword selection and position so far. Time to ramp it up I think.
  
  Other helpful training - Absolutely recommend Bring the Fresh. I have been a member the for the past 2 months and that is what has set it on fire for me with rankings. You only need basic membership to start, I haven't even got into Full Disclosure much yet.
  
  I did a couple of WSO's one was Zuess66 and the other Lisa Gergets. Learnt lots from both of them, and will continue to as I do most of their courses.
  
  Earlier this year I went through an exercise to see where I wanted to be in the future financially. An interesting equation is - to earn 1.1 million dollars a year you need 200 sites earning $16 a day. Put like that, it doesn't seem like much to do does it.
  
  The most important thing is to do something.
  
  I have about 40 sites live now, some are absolute duds for me and have not made me anything, probably a handful at this stage are generating an amount of income from either Amazon or adsense. As yet I haven't had much luck with clickbank.
  At least I now know that it works it is possible to make money online.
  
  Rinse and Repeat and hello full time income.

Have you considered selling the duds as turnkey websites to free up some pennies to plough back into your more profitable ones?

It could be that all they need is some tweaking that someone might be able to do so they can make them profitable...

You won't get a premium price for them but it will allow you to do other things

Congratulations Kym! Amazon is the only thing which worked for me. I know the feeling when i got my first check of $170 after 3 months of hardwork i was too happy that it really works and now i am ready to receive my second cheque of around $300 which is also after another 3 months hard work.

I have been on this forum for 2.5 years jumping from the one next best thing to the other and never making any money, actually going in debt but then I found amazon and it all clicked.

Congrats with your success, one thing I might suggest is to scale the sites that do work and try and get more traffic to them because you know that they convert already instead of spending all your time cranking out new sites which you won't have time to promote.

Congratulations Kym, you are where I want to be with Amazon, I did all right with Clickbank, but info products are saturated and labor intensive for me.

I get Paypal money from EPN every month, and occasional Clickbank deposits, and want to add another profit center and am working towards that goal with Amazon.

Concerning Sparhawke's idea about flipping your failures, I have freed up a bunch of bandwidth and cashed in on sites of mine that did not work out by posting a bunch of them in the complete sites section of the WF.

It only costs 20 bucks, and I easily made that back with sites I could not get to work. I wrongly assumed that because I did make them work that they were worthless and no one else would want them. I was wrong.

You should be able to at least get your domain name money back or double it in this manner. Put up 5 or more sites this way and you should make more than the $20 to post. My plan is to do this, send people to a website about niche starter sites, get to opt ins, and market the products/services I use to build my sites to my list.

One thing that I have been doing is pointing out that they are worth what I am asking just to get the rights to my unique content.

@ bay37 - I grabbed your WSO on amazon, had a couple of "lightbulb" moments while reading it. Thank you.

@ peepee - I am affiliate promotion, not auction.

@ joshgreen - conversion has been running around 5-7% for the month. some days up to 20% . I have had 2 months with over 300 clicks - no sales, I even sent them an email questioning if they had made an error in their recording LOL.

@ Zeuss66 - Neigh!!! You can call me what you like as long as the money keeps coming

@ katied772 - Profitzon or Amazonian Profit Plan? Depends on your skill level. Dans product is fantastic for the beginner to IM. Taught me the absolute basics. Amazonian works on the theory that you have basic web skills and can set a site up yourself. Another great one, while available is bay37's WSO, I purchased it last night and was very impressed with the layout. Is for beginners up with some great screenshots.

@ cashmagnet - thanks for the tip with clickhbank. I will get some opt in forms onto my sites.

@ drew3806 thanks for the tip - I will look into it after I have done the site flipping course (it is not difficult for me to become overwhelmed )

It has been a good feeling to have the comments made by you all in this thread.

It is a great product and the forum over there is excellent as well.

I did an amazon site Saturday night, it indexed today and is ranked at #16.

I have more work to do with traffic and conversion, but I have just about nailed page one

  They do make you money while you sleep.

My advice to you:

1. Join the War Room
2. Start reading from the last page.
3. Choose a system that sounds like you can follow
4. Then do it
5. Ask questions as you go along.
