A new Clickbank Feature??

Hey campers,

I logged into my Clickbank account this afternoon, looked up my list of transactions, and, huh, what's that column on the far left???

It says send customer an email.

I click on the little envelope icon, and it brings up my email client, with the actual email address in it, not a blind email box....

So, wanna communicate with the people you've been selling to via Clickbank!!!!

Of course it might have been there for the past six months, and could have been 10 threads here in WF about it....but hey, every day is full of brand new discoveries.

Happy hunting!!

That is very interesting! I wonder all that you could use that for:

    1) Send a thank you note
    2) Resell
    3) Market to get them on your newsletter or list
    4) Or have they already opted in to receive mail from you with no problem

    Just a thought

      BUT
Dump the transaction list via csv and you have a csv buyers list you can import to your AR and you can even remove chronic refunders and cb'ers by filtering them and exporting that.

They show up for both vendors and affiliates btw... been there for a while actually.

You can also export them as a .CSV although I would be EXTREMELY careful about contacting these people if you are an affiliate. (in fact, I wouldn't..)

It's been there for as long as I can remember. It's how I send a personal
      email to all my customers.

I don't do it as an affiliate because I don't want to get spam complaints but
as a merchant, I think a "Thank You For Your Purchase" is certainly safe
      enough.

But even with that, you never know. Sometimes you run into a real head
case who just doesn't want to hear from you...even if it's just to say thanks.

You know, I look at that list darn near every day, and yesterday was literally the first day I noticed it sitting there.

I'm definitely planning to download a csv, and run it through my email system, if for nothing else than to identify those people on my list that spend money.

Cheers, and have an adult beverage on my behalf this weekend!!

If you are going to contact someone without their Opt-In, you may want it to be a short "Thank You" style note, maybe adding a single link to your Opt-In list. Those who liked your product may join, others may ignore you. But, sending offers to these people as though they were already on your list, could be considered Spam. I have not tried it, so don't take this as 100%. I just know that if I purchased a product from Clickbank, and then started getting messages from them randomly, I would most likely block their messages, and add them to a spam folder. Others may do the same.
Of course, if you send them a Thank You, and a link to your Opt-In's and they go for it, then you have found a new way to add to your marketing list. If you try it, let us know how it turns out! More ways to expand helps everyone here.

I see your point, since 99% of my CB buyers are from email I send it's not as much of a issue and it identifies my clickers n buyers, but for a non-directed buyer it could be problematic. You are however according to CAN-SPAM allowed to contact them and entice them to optin.

    A thought I just had:

This would be a great way to deliver a bonus to buyers (as an affiliate).

i.e. if you have a promotion like "Buy this through my link and I'll give you this bonus" you can then make good on your bonus promise by simply sending to these email addresses rather than having a bunch of people jump through hoops emailing you their transaction #'s and such.

Just be explicit and say that bonuses will only be given to buyers that clear their cookies and buy right now through this affiliate link and tell them that you only deliver through the clickbank system, so if they want it, they have to make sure to clear cookies and make sure you get credit.

I think thats a absolutely solid tactic.
