This is an awesome article about Michael Arrington, the founder of Tech Crunch: The Way I Work: Michael Arrington of TechCrunch

For those that don't know, Tech Crunch is a blog that monitors other web startups, particularly in the Silicon Valley. Whats interesting to note is that he previously failed at four other businesses, and he started this 10 million dollar company out of a hobby. He also shows the importance of having some hardcore reliable contacts. Cheers.

  • What's the old Japanese proverb?

"Fall down seven times, stand up eight."

Or good ole' Winston Churchill: "Never, never, never, never give up."

Or the ol' faithful: "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again."

There's a reason sayings like these become over-used...

    • Very frank interview, sounds quite disorganized with late night, irregular sleeping patterns, etc. But then again, journalists are worse then sales and marketing folks when it comes to the truth.

  • I love the REAL rags to riches stories. this article is very inspiring. Some of the Internet Marketers have taken this bait and hyped it until it is unbelievable. How does a homeless person use the Internet? at the library?

Great article. Thank you for sharing. One of Judge Judy's famous saying? How can you tell when an (Internet Marketer is lying)when his lips are moving or his pen is writing copy?

    Thanks for sharing

    • I know of three successful Warriors who were homeless at one time and used the computers at their local libraries extensively.

  • Hi Doug,

    Thanks for sharing this article.

Many lessons to learn from his story.
Specially how he discovered accidently that even he was away,
his views and business kept growing due to the staff working on the business.

Now think about it... if he was the only guy working on this project,
and at that hard time, when got death threat, and got so much upset that
had to quit for a month..... what if there was no staff... and no updates..

Delegation is very important, any Warrior friend making good enough income,
extra than monthly necessary income, should reinvest into business, and try to
get at least one staff there to tackle day to day operations of the projects,
so in case you have to take break, your business kept going with the staff member
    you have already trained...

Thanks again Doug for sharing the link!
