Ok...

So I have 3 (amazon product review) sites right now, but I've done no off-page SEO (except a couple of Fiverr jobs).

I hear I need to leave articles (with links to my site) within weebly, squidoo, and other 2.0 Sites.

Can I use the exact same article that I use in my sites or do I need to come up with new ones?

is 300 to 500 words enough??

I don't know if there is any restriction or limitation that would prevent you from using the same content on the web 2.0 sites, but I have habitually rewritten content for each of these sites. Because I haven't actually posted the exact same content on each web 2.0 site as my own blog site, I can't say whether it is a problem if you do. However, the small amount of time it takes me to make the content for each of the sites unique is relatively small, and worth it, in my opinion.

By the way, I don't currently use any "spinning" software because it took more time to make the spinning software work than it took for a half-dozen or so sites I typically submit to, and most spinning software I tried tended to make the articles sound artificial.

I know for a fact that you'll hurt your page ranking if you use the same content you use on your site, on other sites or directories.

However what I do not know, and what I would like an answer to is, whether you can rewrite your own content, and use the rewrite to get gain backlinks on many different sites and directories. Obvious the point is to avoid having to rewrite every article for every directory you upload to.

If you wrote the articles yourself, AND you are only posting to a few article submission sites, then it won't be a problem.

If you didn't write the content or do not own the rights, then write your own stuff and it will be ok.

If you are submitting to more than a few sites, then the big G will just discount them in it's searches. It is OK to have some duplicate content out there.

    300-500 words is OK too.

Use the same articles but give them a quick rewrite - it doesn't take long and it just keeps the content on your own website unique.

300 to 500 words is fine. Remember the more backlinks that you get the better. I personally don't rewrite between directories, so I will submit the same article to multiple directories, but I usually rewrite it a little for Squidoo and Hubpages.
