How To Create A Pre Launch Model Squeeze Page: That Prompts Non Subscribers To Optin To See Content?

I want to know how to create a squeeze page that lets those who have entered their name and email to see the thankyou page but when someone who is not subscribed tries to view the thankyou page, they'll be redirected back to the squeeze page.

What code will make this work ?

Thanks...

  • Surely you don't need to do anything as the thank you page is hidden behind the optin form? Or am I missing something here?

If you are concerened that your thank you page may get indexed you should add relevant code to stop search engines indexing the page.

I guess he is worried about others sharing the link to the thank you page? Personally I wouldn't worry about it. If someone wants to share your content with others they will do it regardless - they will always find a way.

They can just download your videos/freebies and host them on 3rd party sites for others to download, etc. The harder you make it for people the more likely they are going to want to try and do it.

Concentrate on getting more and more people to your site each day and don't worry about little things like this. It's kind of like the people that get so hung up on refunds. The smart people just get on with things and concentrate on making more sales - it's going to make you more money in the long-run.

LOL I didn't mean what both of you meant. Sorry for the confusion. What I am talking about is a launch model squeeze page. Once the subscriber puts name and email they'll be directed to the page with the video/content, where subscribers can enter comments which will directly appear in facebook.

So when someone who is not subscribed follows the facebook link and reaches the page containing the video, they will be redirected to the optin page where they'll be prompted to enter name and email.

I want to know how do I do this. I know how to setup the ordinary squeeze/optin page - but this will be very effective for great exposure...

      Thanks...

To do this you will have to cookie the people that optin to your squeeze page. And at the same time you'll want to be reading the cookies of all your incoming traffic to see if they do in fact have the cookie that you'll set. If they don't they have to optin. If they do have the cookie (from opting in previously) they see the video/content page.

Setting and reading cookies is pretty easy, here's a couple tutorial links that should help:

If you have a Sq. page, it means you are capturing leads and giving something away in return..

Let me ask you, do you have that give away on the thank you page?? If yes, why??

Just put a normal standard thank you page which tell them to check their email to confirm their subscription and then have another auto responder to give them the give away in their email.

In that case,if they have tried to use a fake email, they would know their is no way they can get that give away. AND if they really want your give away, they will come back to your sq.page themselves with their Right email address..

    Hope it helps..

The code your thinking of is the facebook code. I have posted a tutorial for what your thinking in this thread:

I just did this on Word Press but you need the Optimize Press theme to use the "gateway/cookie" system. If someone on Facebook tries to share a link, the person receiving the link will be redirected back to your opt in page if they don't already have a cookie for it.

I agree with the above poster. Just pick up Optimize Press it is a steal at only 97 bucks for unlimited sites and wit will do this cookie thing and a whole lot more. I have seen a lot of these types of things and I definitely recommend Optimize Press. I use it myself now and it saves me a ton of time!
