Getting Your Articles Read

When it comes to Article Marketing, do you tend to write longer or shorter articles, or what is the ideal length?

    For article marketing I tend to do shorter articles, generally speaking anyway. However, if you had a lot of information I would tend to use short paragraphs. Remember, what your trying to do is warm up/presell the reader into clicking on your link to your offer as oppossed to giving them 100% of the information in the article.

      There is no ideal length. It will vary according to the talents of the writer, the audience and even the niche.

      The only thing you can do is test all different lengths and see what works best for you.

    I think 500 words or so is a nice round number, at least in my opinion. Too short and it looks like you don't have enough expertise on the subject and too long and you can lose readers.

    There really is no "right" answer to any question like this. My advice would be to test and see which articles seem to convert better for you. You could write two versions and link them back via two different links and see which one does better traffic-wise (if that's your goal). Test everything in your own niche. What works in one niche, may not work in another.
