Search Technorati with keywords related to your topic.

Take note of how old the news post are.

Look for a happy balance between a popular topic and long tail keyword

The more specific the keyword, the less posts and the longer you post will remain.

Another trick is use your domain name as one of the tags. This way, if you someone can reference all your posts from one page and the links never roll off. This can help you build links to your site.

Another trick is to use your name as a tag. This will give you more links in technorati and let people follow your conversation accross all your blogs.
