A guide to creating your own WSO
I see a lot of new people saying that they could "never create their own product" or that they "don't know anything that everyone else already knows."
Well yeah, obviously with an attitude like that, you're never going to create anything. The first step to creating a successful WSO is to actually sit down and try to do it.
Make a mind map of all the things you do in your own IM business. I bet there are things that you do that no one else does. I'm also more than willing to bet that someone that's new to IM would be more than happy to pay for that technique.
A lot of people get stuck in the mindset that the content of a WSO has to be totally new and original. That's not totally true. The methods can be old as dirt, but if you've figured out a way to combine them that makes it easier, that's a gold mine you're sitting on.
When people are asking me advice on how to create a product, I tell them this: Don't reinvent the wheel. Make it spin faster.
So in short, figure out what you're good at, figure out the shortcuts that only you know, and write it down. You don't have to write a novel. In fact, fellow warriors will appreciate it if your WSO gets right to the point. I try to use the principle of Ockham's Razor when creating a product: "the simplest explanation is more likely the correct one"
Cheers,
Lazy
