I learnt that, compare to netbook, ipad is easy to use and bed-friendly
Anyone using ipad for IM work?

How it's going on?
Will it be effectives or just wasting times?

I'm looking for some portable gadget for my bed-time IM :p

Still considering between ipad or netbook.

    • Before I get into deep sleep, I will take some time to review my email, fb, notes and so on...so maybe ipad can help.

  • love mine and use it for nearly all my down time! I bring it along when meeting with offline clients sometimes too!

    Onlything I wont do again is use the Pages app to write a 30 page report... Apple and it's "auto correct" can be a real pain in the A$$ sometimes lol

    If you're GOING TO buy one, hold off for a few months because the iPad 2 will be out around April/May
  • I use an ipad for my offline salepitch. Works like a charm.
  • Love and use my iPad daily. It's great for being able to check on things when I'm traveling, keeping up with emails, forums, support tickets, etc...

    I don't recommend it as a replacement for your primary computer but it sure gives me a lot of flexibility on a lot of IM tasks.

    Bed-time IM??? ... how lazy can we get in this Industry???? LOL Making 1000's a day from home, now you need an Ipad to make money while you're on your bed?? Jesus christo!!!! I used the Ipad once thats while I was on a plane and some exec guy sitting right next time to me was showing off... so I pulled out mine. I gave it to my nephew cause I dont need...

    • My thoughts exactly! The iPad is more of a plaything to show off and to consume content with. It's great for doing some late-night browsing in bed and watching some Youtube videos, or even reading some PDFs and viewing videos from courses that you've bought.

      But for actual content creation, an iPad just isn't going to cut it. I'm not going to spend hours typing away on its puny virtual keyboard, and you obviously don't want to create/edit videos with one either.

      Don't get me wrong, it's great for consuming content and perusing IM course material if you'd like, but for actual day to day IM tasks I'm not sure how much of a benefit it'd bring to the table.

  • Maybe you'll see me as old fashioned but I still prefer the notebooks and desktop for internet marketing. Im not used to the new technology sensation today, tablet pc so I will still stick to the usual.

  • Nah..I honestly don't see the point of an ipad when I have a laptop. The laptop can do way more and it's cheaper...so...
  • If you're looking to focus on content creation with your new purchase, then you definitely want to get the netbook and not the iPad.
