Qeustion on duplicate content dropshipping

Hi all, i have a lingerie site ( i know its one of the hardest but i bought the domain name a long time ago) question is if i use the suppliers description how bad will it effect my search rankings.

I was thinking of using the description but also doing articles and backlinking, or is this just not going to work and i need to change each one.

    One thing you could do is to take your suppliers description and combine it with some reviews others are using to promote the same stuff and make an unique article out of it .

    I have a pet product site and use exactly the same descriptions as on my suppliers sites. Doesn't affect ranking at all in my experience. What matters is how many links you have coming in with your keywords set up in the anchor text.

    That said I do add articles to my site and post customer reviews when I get them.
