Do Ezine/Solo Ads Markering still work?

Hello Warriors,
I want to know if I can still make some fast money using Solo Ads or Ezine Marketing.
It will be much appreciated if some of you guys can give me some useful tips about these two things and which are the best companies to go with.
P.S: I don't have unlimited budget. ^^

These has been discussed repeatedly in other threads, but the quickest method I have found is to use solo ads and sending articles directly to targeted ezine publishers. Find ezine publishers in your target market by searching in Google or a much easier method is to use the Directory of Ezines.

If you are on a limited budget you can use a very good service - solo-ads.com (no affiliation except I still use them frequently for testing new ideas). You earn advertising credits by reading other subscribers' solo ads and they do also have a paid option which is much faster in getting your ads out.

@myob you mentioned using solo-ads.com advertising service. Do you get good enough response and conversions while advertising there? I am curious to know. Thanks

For a few of my market niches (business oppty seekers, home business, other marketers, etc), it does an adequate job for testing my conversion process. If you can get a 1%-2% conversion rate (mine is usually much higher), you've got a viable system.

I like them because they also have an advertising service for $299 they will design and send a solo ad twice to their list of 500,000+ targeted niche buyers. Their list is cleaned/updated everyday and my ads are sent daily for a conversion (sales) hovering around 13%-15% daily.

In addition, I use the Directory of Ezines to find targeted ezine publishers to send even more tightly targeted solo ads and ezine articles. It's $197 for unlimited use.

        Myob...

Thanks for your info. I was just looking into Directory of Ezines and couldn't believe the price (too high for me).

So, I'm going to look into Solo Ads. Can you tell me if these leads are best sent to your own product, or can I send to:

My website offering a clickbank product?
        or
        Directly to the merchants site?

        Thanks for your input..

          @ mllnsgrl

There is not a definitive consensus on what works best, only because there are so many variables in experience, the type of product, as well as the nich, etc.

In general, the best use for any advertising, including solo ads and article writing is to promote a squeeze page with an incentivized offer (usually a free report, ebook, or other product with a high perceived value) to subscribe to an autoresponder series. The sales process begins with a sequence of regular emails to the prospect with your links included in the emails. Don't expect high conversions anytime soon with this process; but it should be around 1-2% minimum for solo ads.

There are a few marketers, myself included, who sell right from the solo ad. The school of thought on this is you will build a list of buyers, not a bunch of free loaders and tire kickers. Using this method, my initial sign-ups are much lower, but subsequent reorders are as high as 91% for an overall average conversion rate of 13-15% for the ad.

I recommended also writing articles directly to ezines in your targeted market. When ezine publishers send your articles out to their subscribers, there really is no better endorsement and free advertising than that! If you don't want to use DOE (which I also highly recommend, BTW), you can slog through search engines for ezines.
