E-Book Development (Help Needed)

1. Where is the best place to get an ebook cover designed?

Here at WF. There are several great designers. Currently there are a couple of WSOs running on ebook covers and mini-site designs.

2. Whats the best way to accept payments? I don't like using paypal, and I do have a merchant account. Google checkout?

There is probably no one "best" way. If you don't plan on affiliates selling your book, offer a variety of options. If you do plan on affiliates only offer the one way the affiliate program accepts. In other words if you plan on recruiting affiliates through clickbank.com only offer clickbank as the payment option. Otherwise your affiliates will lose their commission if your customer decides to use, say your own merchant account.

3. How do I offer my product for instant d/l If I'm not using paypal?

There are programs like DLguard that will do this for you. I've never used it so can't talk about it one way or the other. An easy way is to set up a "thank you " page that the customer is taken to after payment that has the download link. Or set up an autoresponder that emails the customer the download link once they've sent the responder their payment info.

4. What program do I use to convert my file into an Ebook format?
Adobe is quick and easy. The first five times are free if you use their online service.

I used Monster Covers for my ebook cover. They did a good job. I use Ebook Pro for my ebook. No complaints.

4. It depends what format you're converting from. If you write your eBook in MS Word then you'll have a .doc file and to convert simply download a .doc to .pdf converter. A good one is Convert MS Word (doc) files to Adobe Acrobat files (pdf) for free. No login required. but Freeware Home - Free Software Downloads (hit search) offers downloadable tools that do almost exactly the same for free.

Answeraypal is perhaps the easiest and cheapest if I'm not mistaken.It's owned by eBay.Click bank is good but pretty expensive. I tried Google checkout before but i refunded my payment after some difficulties with it.

Answer:This part is too technical buddy.Why don't you check out clickbank.com and search for the answers.Look at the publishers FAQ section.Even a complete beginner can understand the simple instructions and tips.

Answer:The most popular way to create ebook format is PDF.Try adobe acrobat but it's very expensive.If you're in a shoe string budget, try primopdf.com.Free software to create PDF files.
