Is there a way to 'export' likes/fans for your facebook page?

I.e., say you have 5,000 fans for a product or service. Is there a way to 'download' e-mail contact information and/or get them to sign up for a newsletter?

  • There is no white hat (legal) solution for doing this and I imagine there never will be. It is an invasion of users privacy. Those users who like your page do not give you the right to get hold off their email address nor do they want to start receiving emails from you. All it takes is a couple of complaints and your fan page will be shut down in the blink of an eye.

The only way to do this morally is to post things on your fan page and encourage users to signup to your list that way.
  • Well, one way is that you could create a list of all those fans using software like Facebook Friends Adder, at least with the FFA 'Pro' version. The list consists of numeric FB IDs. Then you could contact them using the message function in the same software. In that message you could request that they sign up to your email autoresponder. However, you will need to be careful in how many messages you send out per day.
  • Hi

There is no legit way of doing this that falls under Facebook's TOS (Unfortunately...)

Your best bet is to have a capture form on your Facebook Welcome Tab. Also once a week encourage the users by posting a link on your wall to the capture form.

Lastly, you can also send an "E-mail Update" to all of your fans, and can ask them to visit the link with your Lead Capture form. It is usually best to offer incentive to do so.

    Cheers!
