First of all... your headline has to sell them on looking at your offer...

And... I guess this one worked...

Lets break it down...

Step 1

Everyone wants to know 'How to' do something.
Your offers live and die by the 'Headlines' you write
'5 Minutes' seems believable and gives some idea of what I'm going to offer.

Step 2

'Instant Buyers' is what the reader really wants... at least in this forum...
I put 'for FREE' in this headline because you'll notice in this forum this word gets more views
notice I bolded 'FREE' because truthfully some people don't even read an entire headline

Step 3

I'm going to finish this off with a P.S. because many people will have just gone there
and have skipped everything I just wrote... Can You Help?? See P.S. Below

    Very nice. I've been learning a lot from you the last couple days. :-)

    What made me open this thread was when I saw your name and the topic so I figured you were giving headline advice and so it was worth a read (it was).

    I consider myself a bit skeptical when I see headlines about make this or that much but I still open them. So put me in the curiosity group.

    The problem is that most of those headlines once you get into the copy is a bit weak. But still the headline got me to open it so it does work.

    Your WSO was a case in point. Your headline got me to open it and I hadn't heard of you before. But then the copy sold me and I bough your WSO. That is where a lot of folks (myself included) sometimes fail.

    My honest reaction. I was curious how one could write a headline in 5 minutes that would get instant buyers. I was expecting a free pdf or headline creator software that might be useful, but I was also expecting to be sold something later. It was good enough that I wanted to click.

      I'd like to say that headlines are like skirts, shorter the better!

      Not my statement though, I have pretty long headlines sometimes... Split test, whatever works wins!

              I think the problem with that subject line is that it would get flagged for spam.

              Anyone have any insight on this? I always thought the word FREE was considered spam by the filters. And I'm sure sex would throw up some red flags.

                Yeah,

                FREE will get caught when sending an email,

                but FRE.E or FR.EE or F.REE usually gets through.

                Are there any other banned words you've seen get through?

                  You hit lots of different triggers.

                  Firstly the end result of "instant buyers" which is very appealing to a lot of people in this forum.

                  Then with the "5 mins" you are hitting the trigger of it being quick and easy.

                  Then finally the free is well free, it's not going to cost them anything and they are going to get the desired end result quickly and easily.

                    I wouldnt think "FREE SEX" would attract to many people with their wallets open. Mostly just horny tight ass teenagers. Conversion would be very low.

                    I always thought the words [Click Here] were the most responsive 2 words on the net. They inspire people to take action.

                    People find it easier to follow instructions than find their own way. [Click Here] is an instruction to do just that.

                But some concepts just work in general, like the "how to" part.

        You're absolutely right about headline length.

        The shorter the better. The headline is just
        like an "ad" in and of itself. It's only function
        is to get them to take the next step...period. ;-)

        The next step is get them to take the next one
        and so it continues until they BUY!

          I think anything with the word free will attract a lot of people especially the ones looking for a freebee. There are many things for free so a simple optin to get a fre thing is nothing for most frebe lookers.

          Don't get me wrong I think the advice you giving is great and I implment some of it myself.

            I have never been much for headlines in-so-far as writing them goes. I really need to pay more attention to writing them, and I appreciate the pointers.

            Writing has never been my strong suit, but it's on my list of things to improve. Little tidbits like this are not only good tips, but also a reminder for me to stop putting it off and learn!

              When a person has been networking for a few years, they can pretty much predict whats in the ad copy by the headline. Just go to your inbox to see what kind of junk is filtering thru.

              If the headline catches your attention but doesn't follow thru in the copy, then it was a waste of a good headline. The trick is to make the two match so you can get the sale.

              Every element must be so compelling that you find yourself falling down a slippery slide unable to stop until you reach the end

          Yep, the 16 word headline might be a little long but it got noticed... here...

          It was more of a forum post headline anyways... Too long for an email and not enough meat for a sales letter.

          Tony, I agree with you... If it was in a sales letter it should have been shorter but with a more of a this is what you're going to get sub-headline.

          Can you believe some of Tellman's email headlines, the one yesterday just said 'up'

          Any other suggestions on a headline that got you or that you got a big open, view or conversion rate on...

              because they're trying to sell something to someone...

              A headline's only purpose is to get you to take the next action, like
