Hi,

I joined the war room a couple of days ago, and i'm feeling a bit overwhelmed (possibly panicky), by the amount of information.

Can anybody advise me where to start reading?

I actually got to the point of feeling like I had gone wrong, and stopped working...need to re focus!

Thanks for any advice.

I know exactly where you're coming from. I only visit there once or twice a week because I know if I go there every day, I'll get sidetracked every day How about just focusing on one or two things from there at a time, and they must be relevant to what you are already doing? Or maybe just set aside some 'learning time' each day when you read and try to implement specific books/tools you have downloaded? Maybe an hour or two per day at the most.

Yip, had the same experience. It's amazing isn't it.

What I did was look for resources that are related to what I am trying to do online. If you jump around and try every single thing, you will never get anywhere. Decide what model of online marketing you are going to use be it Amazon, Clickbank, Adsense, product creation etc, and then look for resources around that to expand your knowledge. All the other stuff you can download and stick in your "Later On" folder and read through it once you have achieved your current goals.

@merlincat - it's great to see you on the inside!

My best tip for dealing with the War Room is to add any threads that look interesting to my favourites list on my browser. If they still look good after a good night's sleep, then I'll download them on to my computer and see whether I should take action. Otherwise, I find that I just get sidetracked by reading something that's really interesting, but not at all relevant to my IM business!

Sounds like an "I can't" panic attack - I used to have them all the time and still have that feeling on occasion.

That's when you read some method that sounds great and your mind tells you "too much - you can't do that - you don't know how to do that".

Cure: Pick out the first step and master it - move to the second step and do the same and keep going.

Cure #2: Take the things you don't understand or know how to do and prioritize them and start learning about them one by one.

The whole thing may be overwhelming - when you dissect it into parts, there's nothing here the average person can't master.

I'm definatley suffering from the I cant's....I need to remeber what I've already learnt.

I suppose as your desperation to suceed grows, you can lose sight of what you actually need to do. The war room has so much great stuff, I need to focus on what I actually need now.

I suggest you latch on to one subniche of IM (SEO, article marketing, product creation etc.) and only read/download information about that sub niche.

That way you will be able to concentrate on one area, but still build up tips and tricks in the area to improve as you go.

    Hope this helps,
    Kind Regards,
    Connor

I suppose as your desperation to suceed grows,
That's a problem - desperation can lead you to investing too much emotion into your online efforts and can be self defeating.

Try to replace the "desperation" with words like challenge or curiosity or determination.
