$2k or more to invest? What do YOU do?? Is this an ignored market on WF and in IM??

I just posted in a cpa thread a case study where my buddy invested 2k investing in cpa advertising and made good cash, and it got me thinking...

People with money to invest are the most underserved demographic of the Warrior Forum.

People with money to invest are generally ignored in topics, WSOs, and the such.

Seems most people are looking to skate by for cheap or free.

I understand not everyone has money to invest. Everyone starts somewhere. But after posting the case study, I really got to thinking -- people with $$$ that want to invest in their business have no direction on the WF. I have some ideas, such as software development, etc.

But I'm curious what some of you "big guns" with cash to invest find useful? Where do you put your money? What is most practical? What risks are you willing to take?

I'm sure this won't get a lot of attention because most threads are "help I need $100 by tomorrow!!" But I figured I'd give it a shot and see where others stand on this...

    When I have money to spend, it goes to traffic. Plain and simple. If I can get traffic I know I can convert them to sales.

      A little adwords on the content network. I stay away from the search adwords due to the cost.

      For traffic that I pay for I'm talking solo ads, ezine advertising, and the occasional PPV.

      You won't find many who will tell you how much they have to invest. So if you've got an offer, just put it out there and see what bites.

        No offer here. Just noticed this market is ignored. Seems there are plenty of newbies around who need advice on where to put their money.

        Just as their are plenty of older people who need help knowing where to invest their retirement funds.

        I am just looking for some dialogue. You dont HAVE to have the 2k I guess. If you did though, where do you put it??

    Unless they hit the lottery jackpot... by the time they earn that much so they have $2K to invest in anything - they should be smarter than to ask/seek advice in the WF (or any public forum for that matter).

    Every business owner has, probably, different priorities when investing back in their own business: traffic; automation tool; outsourcing; hiring and growing etc.

    (Finally, if you have a bunch of money to invest outside of IM - I can give you pro advice and help... provided you live in the same jurisdiction where I am licensed to do so. The financial services is a very regulated industry. Here we can just rant about our personal opinions...)

    And there are people on the Warrior Forum who wonder "When did having
    just $2k to invest qualify for being a "big gun"?

    Seriously, though, the general forum discussions are about popular
    topics - and not all are of value/interest to everyone.

    If you want opinions about how to invest $2k, ask that specific question
    - and chances are you'll get answers, though not all will be from someone
    who knows what it means to have that much investible surplus.

    It's the name of the game when it comes to public access forums.

    If you want advise ONLY from those who have been there, done that,
    you need to find specialty forums where exclusively those kind of
    people gather.

    Segmenting and targeting markets gets you highest ROI - but then,
    you already know that, as you've got the cash to invest

      That is why "big guns" was in quotes...As in what people around here consider them to be...

      Thanks to all for your input. I truly believe buying traffic and software development are the best use, along with cpa advertising. Looks like not too many people have money to invest, or wish to share.

      Good stuff anyways.

    I invest in search engine positions because that equals passive traffic and that traffic turns into sales.

    I invest in media buys, mostly in experiments and split tests to find that "perfect" campaign.

    Once I have that perfect campaign I will put up a substantial amount to convert.

    There is 'investment money' and there is 'speculation money'

    my investment money goes only to ramp up the systems that I have in place that I know will work because of meticulous metric tracking.

    the best way to use speculation money is to figure out what new thing you want to try and then buy a course on how to do that new thing. Then spend the money following that course. Do your due diligence and make sure the author of the course is credible, to be safe I'd stay away from clickbank.

    Not necessarily a BIG gun, but I put my money in "Talent".... ie; People.

    Big believer in people power.
