All of the fans joined by themselves, and are actively commenting on the rare status updates.

I never bought any fans, they came naturally to my page.

they like the page simply because they like the content.

I don't know so much about marketing and I don't know how much it is worth it if I would let somebody else run it (become admin) instead

    who can actually evaluate it?

hook up some CPA free offers or trial offers , let it run and use the statistics as a gauge.
you can sell updates as well depending on the niche.

Thanks, but I don't have CPA account at any CPA network, I heard that many of them are scamming people (they don't pay), I don't know how to get accepted to a CPA network...

I heard about CPALead, would they accept me if I tell them that I am admin of a facebook fanpage?
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[3716134].message }}
  • Profile picture of the author Benson P
i wouldn't recommend CPALead.. personally.. there's some issue with them a while ago and most of the affiliates in there are not happy about it.

Go with LeadBolt.. previously they are on quick approval where almost all got accepted upon contacting the admin. Not so sure about their approval for now though.

Any other CPA networks that are paying not through check?

  • Profile picture of the author Benson P
Leadbolt is paying through wiretransfer, payoneer, paypal.

You may want to check out offervault, they have a list of CPA networks and offers , you can check which network is better for your niche.
But you need to have some knowledge on CPA.. otherwise, it is highly you won't get through their AM..

You've answered your own question there. The real money is in teaching/consulting people/companies on how to do it themselves.

      EDIT:
OK I see on another thread you said "actually I just bought a US and UK fans fanpage with 1.8 million fans, AT ONLY 0.2 eur per 100 fans, so that is definitely cheaper than 3 eur per 100 fans.I bought this page to resell it at a higher price"

So my updated answer to your question of how much your Facebook page is worth is : 0.2 eur per 100 fans.

I would say your fanpage is basically worthless. The reason being you have obviously based the fanpage around some type of popular content (your own admission), maybe a video or something that you probably do not own rights to?

I am also guessing your ability to post status updates on the page has already been removed by Facebook and if it hasn't been, then it will be before too long. All it would take is a few updates that people mark as spam and you are banned from posting to those fans forever.

This is the same thing that has happened to majority of the other fan pages on Facebook that are based around silly content, quotes, or silly statements. Fan pages were not designed for this type of purpose and that is why Facebook will remove your publishing rights at some stage.

Unless this fan page is representing an actual product, service, business, or celebrity that you actually own then it's not a matter of 'if' they will remove your publishing rights, but 'when'.

I would pay you nothing for a fanpage like this. It's worthless.

        I know jack about Facebook.

What I do know is that when you build a business or content around other people's websites then you are at their mercy.

I remember a guy who had millions of monthly hits on wordpress's own blog site and they canned him because of something that was said once.

If it had all been on his own domain then he would have still been making a great income...

This guy's threads are always entertaining :p

Fans that joint naturally, but actually bought.

However a fan page that large is still a money-maker if used correctly. You could charge other advertisers in your niche, to have posts and status's etc.

I suspect the only reason he is still able to publish updates (if he actually is) to all the fans is because he hasn't done it very much as of yet and has managed to go under the radar.

As soon as you start trying to make any money from those fans you are sure to get people marking your posts as spam and as soon as they do, Facebook are notified, will come over and check out your page, and disable your publishing rights.

I've seen this exact thing before. Someone on this forum was trying to sell a fanpage with hundreds of thousands of members. People were begging to buy it from him. I asked him to prove he could still post status updates before anyone made an offer.

He returned to tell us that mysteriously his publishing rights had been disabled. Shock horror... NOT!

That's interesting. As I don't use FB to advertise with (forgive me if I'm asking a dumb question), how do you monitor Impressions and CTR? I know you can do so with FB ads but how are you advertising to your fans and measuring that?

I'm just curious because earlier in the thread you said....

I don't know so much about marketing
and you said you don't do any CPA because some were scamming people. I'm just curious what you're marketing to them (especially after your recent complaints about CB)

Also Nisip and this is the second time I've asked, I'm curious as to this fanpage being one you created and built the following of fans yourself or the one you say you bought in the other thread?

As for Will, I'm afraid Nisip, from someone I know, that has had a similar incidence happen to him (not Will), he does in fact have a very good point.

So your fanpage represents your business, product, or service? If so, then what I said does not apply to you. If however your fanpage does NOT represent one of those things then as I said, your ability to post status updates will be very short lived. It's not BS, it's fact. I have seen it happen many times over.

All those fanpages such as "Check out this photo, it's yuck" or "I can't believe she did this. Check out the photo..." or "Doughnuts are the best food ever, man!" have all eventually come to the same fate. Facebook hates these types of fanpages because most of them are created for the sole purpose of spamming their members.

A page like that can only fly under the radar for so long. As more and more posts are made, the number of spam complaints increases, Facebook come check out the page and ban the admin from posting. Thankfully it now takes about 2 seconds these days to report a post on Facebook as spam so it is now even easier to get these pages banned.

Not really. What the page is about is the most important factor to consider. This will determine whether or not it is something that can easily be removed by Facebook.

      Alexa,

I've asked this question twice, as has someone else.

It would appear Nisip doesn't want to answer whether he built it himself or whether it's the fan page he bought in another thread.

Nisip - actually I just bought a US and UK fans fanpage with 1.8 million fans, AT ONLY 0.2 eur per 100 fans, so that is definitely cheaper than 3 eur per 100 fans.I bought this page to resell it at a higher price
So either he has two, one he built himself and one he bought to sell on.

My guess is he bought it, as they have the same amount of fans all from the same part of the world.

Like you and someone else in this thread though, I'm still waiting for Nisip to answer the question.

        Hmmmmm...

If one person has already flogged off this fan page and now another person is trying to do the same, I think the question as to how much the fan page is worth has just been answered.

Firstly, I would never sell such a fanpage if I owned it. I am not a fanpage expert but I guess it can be monetized long term if you comply with the terms of FaceBook. Do not limit yourself to CPA and/or affiliate offers. Internet marketing is huge and the possibilities are limitless.

Secondly, I would never buy any web property on a third party site.

That's my point exactly. As soon as you DO try to post any other links to try and monetize the page the fans will wake up very quickly and start reporting your posts as spam and/or abusive. A few Youtube videos might slip past but anything else and people won't tolerate it.

All they need do is click the little icon in the top right of your post and they can mark it as 'Spam' or 'Abusive' in as little as 10 seconds. And with THAT many fans, even a tiny percentage of your fans reporting your posts still works out to be a LOT of complaints.

Originally Posted by Nisip View Post

Wrong. It is NOT a normal fanpage and Facebook have not had a problem with it... YET. Most likely they haven't come across the page yet and that is why you haven't had any problems. As soon as they get a few complaints and come over to check out your page, your publishing rights will be taken away from you faster than you can say... "but, but, but...". I can guarantee you that.

The Facebook Page Terms and Conditions that you agree to when creating your page are very clear:

      Facebook Pages Terms

      1. Pages are special profiles that may only be used to promote a business or other commercial, political, or charitable organization or endeavor (including non-profit organizations, political campaigns, bands, and celebrities).

      2. You may only administer a Facebook Page if you are an authorized representative of the subject of the Page.
For those two very clear reasons listed above your fan page is NOT a normal fan page, it is NOT abiding by the Terms and Conditions, and it is NOT something Facebook like to see on their site.

Therefore, your fan page is worth absolutely NOTHING. The person selling it to you knew this. Shame you couldn't see that before you purchased it. I guess the person selling it to you was the smart one.

      Nisip,

I wasn't being negative at all chap, negativity is a badge you wear with pride in almost every post.

I was just asking a simple question on a thread you started, so why should I have to PM you the question to get the answer, when you started this thread to talk about the subject? Bit strange in my book.

It was a simple question Nisip, did you buy this fanpage, as you said you did and I'll quote again for ease of reference, or is this a seperate one you built? I was also asking, as you said it has a high number of impressions and a great CTR, how you had ascertained that? After all you said no links were posted, just some Youtube video's.

It's just a simple question about marketing, the fact you don't answer it and call it negative reflects once more your negativity. Why on Earth start a thread on a subject but only answer questions you choose to?

Nisip - actually I just bought a US and UK fans fanpage with 1.8 million fans, AT ONLY 0.2 eur per 100 fans, so that is definitely cheaper than 3 eur per 100 fans.I bought this page to resell it at a higher price"

      is very good.
Nisip - There were not any links posted on the fanpage at all, except for few music youtube videos.
All I want to know is - Did you build this fanpage or was it the one you bought and how did you figure out the impression and CTR rate was very good if no links were posted on the fan page at all.

      This isn't a negative question, it's simply a question.

I've said this to you before - Try not to see the whole world as your enemy and it won't seem such a negative place where everyones out to do something terrible to you. This is one of those moments when the quote in my signature is spot on.

actually I learned a lot from this thread:

1.the people who don't have fanpages (a majority),
say that fanpages will be banned,
so they can buy them the at the cheapest rates

2.people who have fanpages are already making the big money,
so they don't have time to waste flaming other people on forums...

Have you read my post above yours?

All I did was ask him 2 simple questions. No bashing at all. I just wanted him to answer 2 simple questions.

      Here's one for you...

How do you know the people without fanpages are not making big money and how do you know Nisip is making big money with his when he said and I quote, yet again...

There were not any links posted on the fanpage at all, except for few music youtube videos.
I haven't flamed him at all, I think you might want to re-read the thread.

I don't think it is obligatory for anyone to answer somebody else's questions.

People have free will. The OP already gave a lot of information for free.

He is not forced to do anything.

I am grateful that he actually had the immense guts to post his demographics here.

Who else did something as brave as this?

    That's right
I see a pattern emerging here.

Nisips no newbie. Perhaps you should read his posts where he says himself, he's a respected Warrior.

Also, without answering our questions as has been mentioned time and again, how can we give him a price on his fanpage?

You just made a lovely blanket statement about Nigerians in another thread, you think the OP's brave for providing demographics, then, having joined this month, you claim no one's ever done that?

Do you say anything with proof or do you make it up as you go along?

What's even more funny is the only person you've thanked on this forum is the OP, 13 times in fact.

    Interesting.

Merely expressing appreciation of himself, er, I mean the OP. :p

Hmm, and all this from someone who joined the forum today? Coincidental, I don't think so. We have already determined the fanpage is against the TOS of Facebook and therefor worthless. You, errr, I mean the OP, wouldn't be looking to sell the page if you were actually making any decent money from it. You've answered you're own question by starting this thread.

    The. Fanpage. Is. Worthless.

One thing I have also noticed and I'm genuinely interested in this one. In the demographics part of the OP it has a language column.

It says 1,362,400 people have English (US) as they're language and 315,402 as English (UK).

Then it says 6,548 as English (Pirate). Can someone enlighten me where all these pirates are hanging out?

I've been living here all my life and I've never heard of Pirate English. Is it some kind of illegal version of English???

I'm sure I'm having a brain freeze moment but I thought Piracy went out with Black Beard, or whatever he was called, the chap with the wooden leg.

There is something fishy about this thread. Either way, it's probably worth a fair amount.

I guess the least we can do is give him a direct answer. As in any business here in America, your business is worth at least what you have earned in profit over the last year.

Nisila, it may be better to have a professional evaluate your page.

It doesn't seem like any one here can offer the answer you're looking for. You can always test with some minor sales of products.

With the kind of traffic you have, it's always a good idea to funnel that into a list, so that you can keep them as future subscribers or customers in case there were any problems with Facebook in the future. At least, you'd still maintain your customer base.
