Article Marketing of YouTube Videos?

Umm, for backlinks or for traffic? For backlinks I guess I would say articles because links from youtube videos are nofollow, except for the one link in your profile. Youtube videos are good for traffic, and you'll probably see more traffic from 100 youtube videos than 100 articles... but like anything, there's no guarantee of that.

I have to agree with you that for backlinks purposes, article marketing would be great especially if you want to rank a keyword of your choice.

But for youtube videos, how do you generate traffic from there? I submitted 1 video so far to youtube but do not receive any traffic from them. How do you optimize your videos to attract visitors? From start to finish?

Hey there I feel that both creates the viral effect and I have been doing both and seeing my business starting to grow rapidly from all the backlinks out there. Software helps if you have like Traffic Anarchy or something that will save you loads of time .

You should do both, but neither matters if you are using duplicate content or not using correct SEO standards, such as meta tags, alt tags, targeted keywords and phrases, correct density, etc. If done correctly you could get high SERP for your website.

If you are an excellent article writer, then you will have lots of luck with article writing for traffic. Otherwise, people just use it to get backlinks

Videos can get you lots of traffic if you use good video seo. Remember the most important things are your title, tags and description. Make sure your keywords are in all.

If I had to choose one media myself, I would choose you tube. Much more potential there.

You can get ranked on both you tube and google ... a double whammy! Plus you can by pass alot of the search listings in google.

  Both and also throw in some forum commenting.
  There is article marketing for links or syndication you need to decide which one you're writing EACH PARTICULAR article for.
  
  Links- get articles onto big blog networks. 3 links per article ect...
  
  Syndication- longer articles of 800 words plus, really well written and that provide value to the reader. They get picked up by Ezines, big sites ect.. One good one can bring you 5k to 20k visitors.
  
  Videos- make them clickable at the end so it's easy for people to go to your site. Place on You Tube and one or two more Video upload sites. This is for traffic. The link to your site is no follow to the best of my knowledge.
  Make ONE GOOD viral video and you can get paid.
  
  Forum marketing- the traffic can be nice, don't spam add value to the conversation. Develop a rapport in the forum then drop links after a month or 2 but not often. Answer questions with no link 3 times more than with one ect...

  I would do both. And to keep it simple, I would write yoru articles and then make them into videos. One simple way just to get the videos up is to use Article Video Bobot. While the videos are not that great coming out of AVB, it's still a fast way to take an article and make it into a video. Check out their site and you'll recognize some big name IMers using this tool.

Article marketing is an awesome way to provide content for sales letters, squeeze pages and blogs. To have enough content to get regular traffic you should spend time every month writing new articles. Eventually, you should have your articles scattered across the web, giving you hundreds of chances to get traffic to your site.

No doubt youtube is decent source of traffic. But article submissions are quite well known for the both quality backlinks as well as traffic. So I think you should go for article submission firstly.

Both are great methods

there are different methods involved.

For example with the article marketing method you can use it to get instant traffic or you can use it to get your articles published by other website owners.

With videos you can have 30 second promo videos or more comprehensive article videos or even video tutorials.

There's a place for both and you should use both

Both will give you more traffic by visual or reading terms but articles, it gets more because of approved live links from main/top directories which makes confidence and trust on it.
