Anyone can generate a lead but is this lead targeted?

What is a good strategic tip for highly targeted leads that you find to work for you?

I have had success with banner advertising on targeted websites around the net.

    My strategy for targeted leads is using only buying terms. So, if I was working for a transmission repair company, instead of targeting "transmission" I target buying terms like "transmission repair" or "discount transmission repair" etc.

    In my experience, local businesses don't get this until you spell it out for them. Many waste a ton of money on adwords, targeting braod terms rather than "buy" terms.

    The most laser targeted you can get in my opinion is the direct ad campaigns for cpvdirect i believe it is called. there are url campaigns where you can target exact urls that customers are on.

    The best leads are from those who bought from you before...those who bought low priced items like a $7 report, they make good leads for $200+ products in the same niche.
