Random Password Generator.. need help!

Hey guys- not really sure where to ask for help about this, so I was hoping someone here might be able to fill me in or refer me to another website.

I'm in a band and we're about to release our full-length album. We're looking for an alternative to iTunes because they take a cut of our sales.

So ideally, our set up would be this:

The customer buys the album online and is e-mailed a randomly generated password, which can be used to download the album. Once the album is downloaded, however, the password is no longer valid.

Any ideas on how we could make this work? Thanks!

Post an ad on Odesk or another site (freelancer.com, elance.com, etc.) for a simple PHP script that generates an email with a random password upon a purchase. It's possible that there are pre-made solutions out there, but you'll probably need a programmer for this - especially if you're looking to make it secure. Good luck to you and your band.

If you're looking for an onsite script to run from your website then I can highly recommend fellow warrior samstephens and his DLguard product.
Do a search on the forum and you'll find his information - or google dlguard for the sales page. Sam hangs out and helps out a lot in the forum.

If you're looking for an online alternative - then check out e-junkie.com - another possibility but its a monthly fee and uses paypal as the payment processor.

    Good luck,
