What's the average conversion rate for Clickbank?

I know this varies by industry and approach, but I just added a ClickBank rotating ad to one of my high-traffic sites for related keywords and was wondering if anyone has a ballpark estimate. Is it 2%-5% like many Amazon campaigns, or have you found it to be higher?

depending on the product. I've found that they run around .1% to .5% there are a LOT of lookie-looks that don't buy anything...

  It depends on the product and how you promote it. My highest conversion rate on Clickbank is around 12%, my lowest is under 1%.
  
  My best conversions always come from my list (I don't build a list in every niche though).

Definitely depends. I have some campaigns that convert at over 5% and other that only convert at .5%. It's just a matter of testing, testing, and testing.

There's no average. So many factors come into the mix, such as the buying temperature of traffic, price, copy quality. To say 1-10% is hardly helpful.

Better to ask: What are the defining qualities of those 1/30 hop converters?

Clickbank products you need to pre sell WELL and still the coversion rate isn't too good most of the time..
