Terrestrial Business Needs Advice!!

I hope I'm not breaking any etiquette here, but I have an urgent problem that I would be gratefuln for any advice.

I have been marketing for 3 years now aand am quite successful, but have recently got bored and demotivated.

Long story short, I have been offered a job with a medium sized terrestrial based company who turnocver approx $20 million, but only do about $60,000 online.

They want me to grow the sales dramatically.

Im fine with seo, website sdesign and ppc.

The type of business is car parts.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how sizable firms cna increase tbheir turnover dramatically, particularly with social media, which I know little about?

I would love just for some ideas to be thrown in.

I know this is incredibly selfish, as i have little to offer in return, although I woulod be happy to share my thoughts on getting websites tio rAnk high in google and stay there.

I quite underdstand anyone who tells me to go away, but I really would be most grateful if anyone out there bhas had experience of working with medium size companies and their online sale function.

    The first thing I would do is build an email list or approve upon the one they have. If they turnover $20 million a year then obviously they have alot of customers. If they don't already see if you can get them to get every future customers or potential customers email address. Then start sending weekly to monthly email with special deals. That's bound to boost the online sales they have like crazy just doing this one step.

    Okay. This is bugging me and I need to ask. I realize the US and UK are two nations separated by a common language.

    Not selfish at all. We're all here to help and learn from others.

    Concerning your question...

    How is that 20 million in sales broken down as far as local, mail/phone order?

    What type of auto parts are they selling? IMO enthusiast/performance based parts have greater margins and an enthusiastic/passionate audience. That's not to say that web/social strategies won't work with auto parts in general.

    One thing off the top of my head is to approach forums with a sponsorship deal. This gets the store in front of the right types of people.

    I could suggest other things if I knew a bit more about the company.
