Youtube just screwed me over and I dont know what to do?

They deleted 2 of my videos that were in top 5 for really competitive keywords. Saying:
Content inappropriate, against youtube T&Cs.
But they have been up for months. I don't know what to do as this was my only income source for the moment. Has this happened to anyone? Do you know what to do? Sooo annoying!!

    youtube are clamping down hard currently against affiliate videos etc, you need to make sure that your video also delivers useful content in google's eyes

    What exactly were the videos of? Which products were they promoting? What KWs/tags did you place on them...

    Even if you don't want to answer these questions here I would imagine that once you answer them for yourself the answers may lead to you better understanding why they were deleted...having been live on Youtube for months or not.

    Best thing you can do is reproduce them (in accordance with their T&C this time) and move on...

      Yeah true, but when people are doing the exact same thing and they are not getting touched for it. Bit annoying.

      Yeah you are right about the KWs they are I.M. KWs "how to make money online" and some products I was promoting too.

        I would imagine if they are "cleaning house" that those others wont live long either...

        Not that it helps you personally but at least lets hope it ends up fair across the board.

    Sorry to hear about your loss.

    No point in be angry about it - Youtube changed the rules and they're smashing a lot of people WITHOUT WARNING.

    In the end there is nothing you can do - just "upgrade" what you had wrong and try to get back these rankings following their new rules.

    I said this in the other thread, I just deleted ALL my Internet Marketing videos a couple months ago. Guess my brain had an alert somewhere...

    One thing you can't do is sit around waiting for them to change their mind! With a bit of luck, they will put u back up eventually. In the mean time try and duplicate what you had. You already did it once. This second time should be easier because you've had time to see what you did and why it works.

    I can't believe they could FIND your videos if they've already been up for 4 months! Did you know that there are about 14+ HOURS of video uploaded to youtube every MINUTE? Perhaps they were just doing a "Search" for those types of videos...

      From what a lot of people are saying, that is the case.

      Although there are tons of niches that are doing just fine on Youtube, it seems like the IM niche is definitely getting rocked.

    Just to make sure I have this straight;

    You were silly enough to make your entire income (Up till this point) dependent on a single entity (Youtube) who provided a service for you for free, and because they exercised their right to moderate the content on their website, they are screwing you over because you admittedly violated their ToS by using it as a free advertising platform to promote affiliate products in the Im niche?

      Sorry to hear this Tom but if you look at Harlans thread which Merlyn has pointed you to, you'll see this is pretty widespread and I know the mods are trying to keep these threads closed because there already is one (Just saying in case this gets closed, Tiffany Dows thread was)

      Sadly as Chris has pointed out, there's no point, in this business, relying on any third parties for your income, Googles bad enough to rely on, YouTube's owned by the same, so no different sadly.

      Regarding them being up for months I believe this a new stance they're taking.

        What to do?

        Easy:
        1. Learn your lesson.
        2. Get your own web site.
        3. Don't rely on other people's web sites to build your income.
