Quick and simple Amazon question

Hi guys, simple question but I can't find an answer anywhere, even the reply from Amazon didn't answer my question to my utter disbelief. Can I use my OWN images to link to an Amazon product? The ones supplied by Amazon are fugly and I would imagine an image I create myself in Photoshop would have a much higher CTR.

Also what part of the URL do I need to keep intact when linking to Amazon via an image? Also is this method allowed by Amazon?

Thanks in advance and apologies for such a trivial question.

    Mav,

I use my own images on some of my sites and they work a treat.
I have not checked to see if this is 100% acceptable but I cannot see why not.
You can use whatever text you want, why not images.

I guess Amazon would only crack it if you used images of one product to go to another.
For example using a delonghi coffe maker pic going to an Acme coffee maker page.

Use what you want if it gets results.

one way to find out. Just try it and I dont see why they shouldnt accept it.

Worse case scenario is that they'll email you saying you cant and you just tell them that you didnt know.
