XSitePro Expert Needed
My Laptop (vista) crashed. I had one project with 2 websites on my XSP. This project had never been loaded on to my desktop. I do use my desktop to work on another XSP project.
I was backed up to an external hard drive. All of my files and folders are now loaded on my desktop. I can access the backup folder for the XSP project that was on my laptop: C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\My Documents\Unzipped\Backup files 1\C\Users\Steve\Documents\XSitePro-Data\Backups\XSiteBackup_2008-Dec-27_2114
My problem is that when I follow the IMPORT instructions from the HELP section I can't get the folder to import. I have read, reread repeatedly all that I can find about importing but still can't make it work.
My frustrations are:
1. I can find all the XSP data on my desktop but can't get it into the XSP program on my desktop.
2. I set aside the next 3 days to work on this project. Hence, my desire to remedy this as quickly as possible.
I have submitted a support ticket to XSP and also submitted this problem on the XSP forum. In fact I got this helpful reply but I don't know how to execute the suggestion:
"The system does not backup to individual .XSE files. If you have the entire XSitePro-Data folder, You just need to copy the folder XSitePro-Data\Database\Data. This folder and the contents / subfolders are actually your sites. By placing that folder back in the structure you should restore your sites."
I'm not sure how to place the folder in the structure.
I would greatly appreciate any help in solving this.
Thanks,
Steve
p.s. I'm using this site to sell a product I created in Kevin Riley's Product Creation Lab. IT IS NOT AN IM PRODUCT. However, if you have TEETH it might be helpful to you. I'll be happy to send you a copy for your trouble in helping me with this. Thanks again.
