Email marketing lists are still a talked about feature of IM.

How many emails do you send out a week? How big is your list?

    My list is about 2.6k. I only mail out to them 1-2 times per month, at most.

    In fact, the only list I mail regularly is my IM list.

    I don't use my lists in the other niches very often (I know I'm probably leaving money on the table). What I do is capture leads with PPC and media buys to send autoresponder series and get conversions with CPA offers, but after the autoresponder series end I tend not to mail them again for several weeks.

    Of course, I don't recommend other marketers to do it... I'm too busy now and don't have time to work on email campaigns for my lists (except my IM list, which I always try to keep in touch with and share some nice information with my subscribers as often as possible), but I know I lose money because of this.

    I generally send out no more than one email per week - sometimes less. To do more, to me, is spammy. I've opted out of many lists where I get emails every day - just no time to read them all.

    I personally send out about 2 emails a week to each of my lists.

    Right now I'd like to have a list where I can email everyday... this takes a little bit of work because you have to educate your readers to receiving an email a day and, of course, you have to have something worth saying everyday.

    There is no real right and wrong... I believe you have to email regularly enough to stay in people's memory (so unless you're a HUGE name) which I personally think should be weekly at a minimum.

    As already said here, there is no hard and fast rule.

    Personally we like to mail once a week on the autoresponder and schedule them for Thursday mailings and then do occasional broadcast mailings on Tuesdays. So normally we're mailing once a week, but occasionally twice a week.

    A lot will depend on your relationship with your list and what you train them to be the "norm". Whatever you do, you want to be consistent with your approach so that your list knows what to expect from you and make sure to deliver value first and promote second (or third).
