Rock. Me. A Hard place.

I'm stuck, and not sure which way to go. I've read all the comments that you should just stick to one thing first, don't try lots of different methods at once, etc. but at what point do you decide a website just isn't going to make it? My uk based site, reviewonlinecasinos, has a couple of hundred pages of unique content, I've spent thousands on seo, and worked on it for over two years now, and it makes an average of $30 - $40 a month. Is it time to quit, and try something else? A full time job rules out doing more than one ot two things at a time. Any advice welcome.

Around 200. It's a massively competitive market, something I didn't appreciate when I first started as a total newbie, but I carried on with this site as it's a subject I'm interested in, and thought maybe I could get a tiny slice of a big pie. But not that tiny!

I usually say it's time to move on from a project when I'm just not having fun with it anymore.

If you are still enjoying working on it, are you building a list to work on some back end stuff? Selling more than one product to your visitors? Giving them cool stuff to use? How about building the site into a brand that's recognizable in the industry?

I realize those sound a lot like buzzwords, but they really do make the difference between a good site and a great one. Serve your customers better, give them cool reports, audios, videos, websites to check out, etc., and most of all start building a relationship with them, and, provided you're offering good products and services, things will start to ramp up.

Or, since it is making you money, you could always just sell the site and move on to something more fun. Either way, best of luck.

The fact that I enjoy what I'm writing about is what's kept me plugging away at this site for so long, and it's part of the reason I'm so reluctant to give it up. I think the main issue is how competitive the casino reviews market is, but the way I see it, I'm getting $0.15 - $0.20 per visitor, which sounds reasonable to me, there's just not enough visitors.

Next time spend your seo money better. You can rank any keyword for "thousands of dollars spent on seo" and by any i mean any.

Just ranked a multi million / month income pharmacy keyword in top 3 for 200$ (client site). Almost made me cry thinking how stupid i am.

P.S. Don't ask me for seo stuff as decided to stop offering services and rank my own sites and earn 10x. After i get back from vacation im done with seo services.

Thanks EvcRo. As requested, I'm not asking for seo services from you, but I am looking for a JV partner. with the online casino niche being so profitable for the best ranked sites, I thought you may be interested. Let me know. Arthur.

I agree... Spread your wings and start on another project that will keep you motivated.

It sounds like you're starting to resent this project because it hasn't delieverd what you'd hoped for. There's nothing to say you can't leave this webiste running and hope it continues to make a small income for you but it's time to move on.

Think about your hobbies and interests and see if you can find a niche that you're interested to build on. Hopefully, that will restore your confidence in your IM ability and skills.

I had an online casino review site but instead of just reviewing casinos, I concentrated on keeping those online free bonuses and promotions updated. I made a lot of money from the site through casino affiliate networks ... every time people played, I made money. I spent zero dollars on the site and once it was created, I spent very little time on it and it had very little unique content. The only hangup was the casinos couldn't send me checks due to me living in the US, so I gave it up. They wanted to give me credit in their casinos, which was a little fun, but I lost all the money. lol

You could be using just really shady SEO companies, have cruddy onpage or offpage SEO, who knows.

But yeah- you can make $30-$40 a day just offering some type of service like writing or making backlinks

    A. Keep collecting the $30-40 a month while you start a new project. I have about 30 websites, and plenty of people have a lot more than that.

    B. Have you tried ranking pages on that site for long-tail keywords? Going after a broad niche is fine, but you can get a lot of traffic by going after smaller, less competitive sub-niches. Get a few dozen interior pages ranked and you might be surprised at how much more traffic you get. Of course, that's if you're not already doing that.

    C. Are you building a mailing list with this site? Offer a free guide or something else gamblers would want in exchange for their name and email address. Then you can offer tips, promote sites and affiliate products, and sell your own products to them. There's a LOT more money in that than just running traffic through the front door and out the back door.

    Hope that helps.
