Need advice on how to do this.

Hi everyone. I recently bought a domain that can be used to write reviews covering pretty much EVERY market, niche and sub-niche there is (I'm not exaggerating, I truly believe it's that open).

Obviously I could start writing reviews about everything and anything I can think of, but I'm never gonna be able to cover even 1% of the potential on my own.

The obvious answer is to have other people write reviews. I could do it either by just buying review articles or setting up some sort of profit sharing system.

If I were to go the second route, the profit sharing system one, is there a solution out there that could allow me to automate this process? or a system that will allow me to escalate it so I can start investing a moderate sum and increase the investment as the site grows?

Perhaps a system that would track conversions on different selling ways within one page ( be it adsense, amazon or affiliates) and would charge me on a per page basis so it grows at the same rate the site does?

Any help with this will be most welcome.

In addition to that I´m thinking if I were to do this using Wordpress I would probably a specific theme and/ or a series of specific plugins.

Has anyone done something similar? Or perhaps tried and failed due to some reason? Knowing it cannot be done with Wordpress would be the first step towards finding the right solution.

Thanks in advance for your contributions.

    Unfortunately... I've no idea.

But I do think you should just start right now... regardless and use your own affiliate links and reviews while you work it out.

When you get results you might find out that you can afford to pay top dollar prices for really good articles that you own and can keep 100% of the profits on affiliate sales from.

Plus you'll get a feel for whether or not it is a viable business model (or if you're better sticking to a single niche market). It sounds quite complicated for something that may or may not work out (ie. finding other product reviewers) so I'd get it up and running now and learn as you go.

    Just my opinion... nothing else

Instead of trying to review everything in the world, you should find something with a good profit margin and focus on that. You'll have better credibility with your surfers, you'll have a much stronger site overall, and with time you'll become an authority site which will (hopefully) be well-loved by Google. Sites that try to review everything in the world often end up looking very sloppy and unfocused. Also, this focus will enable you to fill up your site without the anxiety you are feeling now.

    Drop or sell that domain.

Pick a sub niche of one of these "weight loss" "body building" "make money"

develop a sexy hook and a unique selling point.

buy a very keyword specific domain and write reviews on affiliate products and your own products for your sub-niche.

The more specific you are, the more powerful ALL of your efforts will be.

I have to agree with Derek here. Even if you got someone to write all the reviews for you, how on earth are you going to promote them.

You're much better of focusing on one niche and sub-niche rather than be a one stop shop for all.

As for getting people to write reviews, profit sharing is one way to do it. Running contests could be another way.

    Santi -

Check out Chris Rempel's blog. Just Goole "Chris Rempel" or "The Lazy Mareter". He'll set you straight on how to find a niche and exploit it.

It's great you found a flexible domain with lots of potential, but resist the urge and focus on a specific niche.

And with regard to Wordpress, if you are building it to sell, Wordpress is going to be a pain when it comes time to transfer the site to a new owner unless you plan to just hand them the keys to your ISP account.

I think this is a bad idea. I think you would do better to focus on one niche. You would be spreading yourself too thin if you try to review everything. Focus on one area and get to be an expert in that one area, rather than all over the place.
