Gas comparison site data

Does anyone know where can you get data from gas stations? I'm thinking to start a gas comparison site, but not sure how those gas sites get their data from.

    This is something that should be updated at least twice a day because gas seem to rise up and down within a day and prices also vary from state to state.

    Not sure how well that would fare. There are a lot of free apps for smartphones with gas comparison checkers that are updated constantly. But by all means, whatever you decide to do, make sure you do your research, investigate the competition, and see how you could monetize (do it differently) and make yourself stand out!
