Images Disappear in Wordpress Posts after Publish?

Hello,
I have hosted 4 of my sites in hostgator baby plan.
Now for the last few days the images i add inside posts disappears after i publish the post.
One of the sites which run couponpress do not show up the recent posts in the front page and loads extremely slow.

When i enquired the support they said it i have to increase the php.ini file size. But hostgator didn't allow since it was shared hosting.

Now,My doubt is,Is the same reason causing my images disappear from wordpress posts?

if so,can you suggest me a best vps hosting other than hostgator.(They ****) I have 10 sites in bluehost which consumes 1 gb bandwidth a day but never had a problem or downtime. But hostgator is showing various problems and down often even before my sites bring in 100 visitors a day.

Please help me to solve," Why images disappear?" or "Best vps other than knownhost (i have sites there).

Why not just upgrade at hostgator. The baby plan is ok for a couple of things but not good when doing bigger projects.

Images disappear? I suggest you don't upload your image to your website. Upload your image to free image hosting like imageshack, copy the direct link, edit the HTML of your post then use <img src="your direct link">.

If your page loads extremely slow, use gzip compression.

Unless the php.ini file on this particular shared-hosting server is grossly misconfigured, you cannot really expect HostGator to make server-wide changes to it just to suit one customer: those kinds of things potentially affect everyone else on the server too, and could cause issues.

I don't see how the php.ini file should be causing issues, though: I'm on HostGator's shared hosting and have never had problems uploading files through Wordpress, nor with their displaying after publication.

It sounds to me, actually, that this is an issue either with your wp-config.php file, your .htaccess file or your directory/file permissions (chmod values).

Thank you for your reply,But it was all ok until two days before and i never changed any setting other than posting articles.

Hostgator is good,But i find bluehost 10 times better for the shared hosting.

can you recommend a vps hosting other than hostgator?

Hostgator doesn't have to change their configuration. You can do it yourself via cpanel

As for the images disappearing, create a custom field called images and in the box put the url of the image you uploaded, but leave off the domain name, i.e. /wp-content/themes/themename/images/imagename.jpg

You can get that url from the post where you uploaded the image.

Then click on add for the custom field

Images disappearing from a WordPress site running Coupon press sounds more like a problem with the thumb-nailing process. Have you checked your permissions on the Couponpress site ?

WordPress likes to use a little bit of Memory in some circumstances and it's also possible that you are running out of memory during the thumb-nailing process.

I would advise you to check the permissions of the folders, then see if you are exceeding the allowable PHP memory limits.
