INTERNET MARKETING

hi

at google alerts i subscribe to my sites' url's ....

so every time google picks up an article, or a link, or a bookmark,or a post, i get notified.

this way i can see what is effective in terms of links and what is not....

what do u think ?

Good idea.

Google Analytics is also great for revealing which keywords people searched for when they found your site.

  yes...the two of them together can tell you a lot
  
  BTW
  
  i went looking, and MSN and yahoo also has alerts.......
  
  but unfortunately you cannot specify url's as with google

  It's a great way to keep an eye on your competitors as you can add either their name or your keywords to see the latest action.
  
  I've discovered other advertising avenues I didn't know about using Google Alerts. One of my competitors showed up on a price comparison site I'd never heard of.
  
  It has a lot of uses - use your imagination - think outside the box.
