Directory Submissions Still Have Any Backlink Value

Man...there are so many people out there making claims and getting rich off people who do not know what they are doing ...can you share with me what is truth and is not ! ( thanks if you share

Any value still in submitting to a bunch directories I know there is value in submitting to yahoo directory at a whopping cost of $300.00.

If there is still value please tell me the following:

  • what benefits are there in submitting to many directories
  • are there a top 10 - 20 - 50 that are worth submitting to
  • should I submit only to them manually and what should I look for when submitting to them
  • what are the right ways to submit to them

    Submitting to directories is one of the things that used to work.

    Just ask yourself: When was the last time you went to a directory in order to find something?

    The directories were in vogue many years ago when the search engines were rather dumb and could not deliver relevant results. Technology has advanced and directories are mostly a thing of the past.

    For me submitting our site to different directories has still a value, we can still get some backlinks from them.

      I paid for some directory submissions awhile back. I spent a decent amount of money for a few sites.

      When I went to check the links many of them were not there or pending some huge backlog. In my opinion it was a complete waste of money.

    High PR directories still hold value, not as much as before though. In certain niches, some people are ranking sites on directory links alone.
