Need backlinks explained -- I made one comment on blog and got 200+

I visited a site recently and made a comment. After checking Backlink Watcher, that site has given me over 200 backlinks.

I see links to many of its posts, some I don't recall reading.

Can you explain why this happens? I have three sites, all where I commented, providing 90 percent of my backlinks.
