$50,000 and My Hands Are Shaking Like Crazy

My hands just won't stop shaking. I'm in the middle of the single largest transaction I've ever made, a $50,000 sale for a website.

Right now we're working on transferring the money and then the accounts that I'm selling (website services like clickbank, aweber, hosting, etc).

I just thought I'd share the excitement with everyone else, especially people who might be considering giving up.

PS: I think it took me thirty tries to enter in my information for the Escrow documentation. For whatever reason typing this calmed my nerves a little!

        No I didnt bench, I reinvested it.

      So if your site was earning $50K per year, why sell it? Did you have many operating overheads?

        Time

      If I had a domain that made me $50,000 per year, I would not sell it........ I would keep it.......

    I think some of you are right that I could have gotten more for this, but I really don't have the joy for this site that I used to, so I actually believe that my revenue was doomed to start sinking quickly if I held on to it. Now the new owner can kick ass with the site and grow it because he enjoys it.

    All this enthusiasm is making me really consider writing down the process of selling the site and how to prevent a lot of the mistakes I made before/during the sale.

      Yes flippa was how I sold it, using escrow now to ensure the goods are delivered, accepted and paid for.

      Sorry I temporarily neglected the thread because I was so busy, I'll try to answer questions now as they come in.

    How long did it take you to earn that much a month with your website?
    Was the content outsourced or you wrote it yourself?
    How often did you update the site?
    How big is your list? How can you sell a list with a site? Aweber allows that?
    Was the traffic organic? How did you promote the site?

    That is an inspiring part, that behind those dark clouds are clear skies, wherein people should hold on to their dream and goals.     Update: Site domain still has to be transferred. We're 99% done, just having issues with the epp code. Really nerve racking stuff!

    I think I'll vomit and die if the site doesn't sell but I'm sure we'll figure out what's wrong and get the site domains transferred correctly.
