A quick newbie question about amazon review websites...

Hello warriors! Quick question, I'm sure this has been asked before but...I started an amazon product review website and I have written several quality reviews for the website. Now for backlinking purposes should I submit the reviews word for word as they appear on my website, to article directories or rewrite then first?

    You should re-write them first.

There is nothing at all to be gained from re-writing your reviews. All you need do is make sure they have been indexed on your own website, then you can post them to a few article directories. Don't believe the "duplicate content" urban myth which is perpetuated here; that's all it is: a myth.

All the longstanding and knowledgeable content publishers here follow this strategy and we've done so for many years. It works, believe me.

This earlier thread discusses this in great detail.

Interesting. Erica Stone recommends rewriting them and she knows her stuff, so I thought that was the best strategy.

What about if you submit an article to Ezine which is on your site, but you don't have any pen name on your site, will Ezine still accept the article?

Actually, what I say is rewrite the first sentence or two because you might have an opportunity to catch a different group of people with a different meta description in the search engines for those times when you end up with your site post AND an article on the same page.

Then I cut some of the detail from the product review so there's some mystery left about the product. That way I can suggest people read more detail in the actual review page.

Takes me all of a couple of minutes per review.

Thank you for the replies! Very helpful, I think that I may take a combination of both your answers. I will rewrite half my reviews and post some directly to the article directories. They have already been indexed, so I'm going to just go for it!
