Hi All,
Well, I've come back to this forum I don't know, like 10x over as many years, and never really got too far off the ground with anything. I keep coming back because I know that if I ever do get going I will really like doing it. !!
Anyway.... As you all know that it is Information Overload that throws me back every time. There is just so much out there!!. I'm not sure which way to go but I think that blogging might be my best match.

I am looking at Blog Success. (Jack Humphrey) Right now it's $10 initial then $27/m .. (Price seems to change all over the place the past years.. indicated in another thread here somewhere)
This current price is reasonable if it makes it as easy as the webinar suggests.

First question, has anyone got any comments on the program, thumbs up or down.
And, I am waiting a few weeks before I buy, because I really won't have time to give it my FULL attention until after Christmas, about 6 weeks, so until then, what do you suggest I look into, on any spare time that I have.. for example WordPress, or some market research, or both, or other suggestions. .. something that may help me already have a head start before I start the program.

    TracyA, you're not alone in your problem of information overload. Everyone who tries to make a living online experiences it until they find their little slice of the internet pie, learn to work hard and smart and get things done.

    I'm actually about to release a product called Prime Directive that's deals with exactly what you're experiencing. It teaches people how to get focused and get things done.

    I would suggest choosing one thing and sticking with it until it produces an income or until you're convinced that it won't produce an income. Once you find something that produces and income, scale it up to produce more. Wash and repeat.

      I would suggest that "ProBlogger: Secrets for Blogging Your Way to a Six-Figure Income" by Darren Rowse and Chris Garrett is a good read for your purpose. A very cheap start to your research. Darren runs the problogger.net blog which is really successful.

      You might find useful information at www.alistbloggingbootcamps.com .
      The bootcamps themselves are run by Leo Babauta and Mary Jaksch. I only mention it because I subscribe to Leo's blog Zenhabits.net and think he is a really good role model for blogging.

        Find something, focus on it until it works. Do it again.

        What have you tried to do so far and how did it work out for you ?

        It is so easy to have shiny object syndome, I have personally bought\acquired well over 100 packages. Each one a success plan on it's own.

        When something makes you go wow, follow through. Find a partner or MM group that can guide you or at least keep you accountable to that which you are going to complete.

    Good advice here. Try to work out which niche or type of marketing you wish to follow, such as Affiliate Marketing. The same rule applies wherever you go. Stick with one thing, and don't get distracted by all the promises of instant wealth. It may take time to establish a new income earning business. You really do have to be prepared to put in some time and effort.
    Like any thing new, it takes time to learn and apply your education.

    Sorry Tracy I don't know this program. Maybe if you try IM Report Card, there may be some evaluations of it there.

    Finding a trustworthy training or mentoring course will save you both time and money.

    Your problem seems to be that you're not maintaining your drive. If you've bounced back ten times in ten years, you need to stay with it, and stop looking fo instant solutions. I returned to IM after a 5 year break, but that was over a year ago. I'm still here, and yes - I have started making an income.

    If you want a great source of information and training you could start with Chris Farrell Membership. It's absolutely loaded with videos, books and training; all included in the monthly membership fee. You can cancel your membership at any time without penalty too.

    Starting a blog, or Wordpress website could be a good starting point for you, but you will need to identify what niche you want to 'specialise in'. Many people recommend something you have knowledge or experience with, as you will have at leats a basic knowledge. There are many steps to take, but with patience and perseverence you can start to get results which lead to your own self made destiny.

    If you drift away again, you will be delaying any chance of success.

      Thanks for all the great advice. I think the main thing that is holding me back is deciding whether to go with a blog, affiliate, clickbank, a niche, or what... there are so many options. And then there is the topic(s) to choose. I'm afraid that if I choose the wrong route as my first attempt and it flops, that it'll be hard to get up the confidence to try something else. .. So yes, I know, I just have to jump in.. get past that hurdle and then I'll be on my way. I think I just need someone to kick my a55 really hard.

      The only program I have tried, and it was 2 years ago, was Niche Blitzkrieg. It was very good; I liked the program and the support. However, I guess the niche thing just wasn't for me.. I don't know..I got frustrated with WordPress, (it feels very rigid when you're more accustomed to writing websites from scratch) and his program is very Wordpress-concentrated.. and then for whatever reason I just dropped it. (BTW I got a refund within a day, with no hassles.) And I do think the program was great, just not for me.

      Jack Humphrey's Blog Success (blogsuccess.com) looks interesting to me and I am seriously looking at that one. I'll give Wordpress another shot, (with an open mind and not an html mind ).. But as I mentioned I have to just hold off on purchasing a program until after Christmas because I want to give it my full attention and I'm too busy now. In the meantime I'm just gearing up.

      I looked on that IM Report Card site, and it received a B+. What a great site!! I'm going to look into that further, and also the other programs you all have recommended I take a look at.

      I'm going to go back through the thread now and check them all out.
