Thanks for your great info, but I had a brief look at them and what I actually want is an eBook directory where I can submit my own eBooks..

  Yes, that's exactly what you can do! I'll give you an example: go to this page: http://e-library.net/add.html
  
  Here you will be able to submit your own eBook! You just need to find a link like 'Add eBook' or 'Submit eBook' in the other sites that I gave you.

  I'm always seeing documents on slideshare and scribd ranking well in Google. I can't vouch for their SEO benefit for leaving links (such as in description), but the actual page on these sites rank well. And, if your goal is just to get others to find your document/ebook, then it's a good place for that.
