Free website builder software?

Hi fellow warriors. I have been using a free website builder (website tonight) but need to add more pages now. Is there a free website builder that is good. What is a cheap (under $20) one I can get on ebay (old version of dreamweaver?) All your ideas will be appreciated. Oh and what about ftp software. Something cheap or free. I only need 6 or 7 pages for now.

CoffeeCup Free FTP has worked well for me.

As for a free website builder, not sure.

This is free: Get wordpress, find a theme you like, create a virtual server on your hard drive, then edit the theme and modify it until you have what you want. Of course, this method takes some knowledge of wordpress, php, and html.

I've heard weebly.com is pretty good for free websites and as for ftp I personally use Filezilla.
It's free and pretty easy to get your head around

Serif have a free version of WebPlus, if you don't want to use Wordpress. FreeSerifSoftware – free software downloads

For ftping, I use Filezilla or file manager in cpanel. Ftp is also built-in to Web Plus.

I have used Kompozer in the past and while it does take a little getting used to it is one of the better ones out there if you cannot get dreamweaver (which I find ridiculously expensive and hard to figure out)

I have used NVU and Kompozer in the past, (and still do) although I generally work with Wordpress, there's just so much that you can do with it, from creating squeeze pages to building great memberships sites

One more vote for weebly.com, and wordpress is easy to understand and so powerful.

The two free programs I have used and liked are:

KompoZer - Easy web authoring
Free HTML Editor, Visual Web Page Editor: PageBreeze Freeware

But I'd recommend you take a look at:

Microsoft Expression Web 4 | SuperPreview | Snapshot Preview | Intellisense | Modern CSS | Cross Browser Testing | Microsoft® Expression®

It is a little higher than what you were intending to spend but is good software at a good price. You can find upgrade copies for under $50, Academic versions for less, and the full-blown regular license for just over $100.

You can also try the free version of NetObjects Fusion Essentials. It works really well.
