Need help writing an Ebook

I have to write an ebook of about 20 pages on getting back with your ex boyfriend. I would be using this Ebook as a freebie to build my list and promote Clickbank products. I have never created an Ebook and have no idea how to go about it. I would appreciate any help or advice in this regard. Thanks.

    Here you go:
    1. First decide the topics of the niche your website will cover.
    2. Do some research and collect data.
    3. Use images.google.com to get some pics ideas.
    4. Write table of contents and then explain each topic.
    5. Print as PDF.

    Thanks

Research is everything here - make sure you know what the main pain points of your target market is. Visit the forums and agony aunt sites and get into the heads of your prospective readers. Note at least 4 pain points and make the solutions to these problems your "benefits" (these benefits will appear in your headline and bullet points on your sales page and in the book). Lastly, think of your unique selling proposition - what's your "angle"? Why is your book different?

Put yourself in the place of your reader's shoes and try to help them. How would you feel if you still loved your ex boyfriend...how should you deal with that loneliness, pain or rejection? What went wrong in the relationship that caused it to end in the first place? You have to know what's broken before it can be fixed and mended...so that you can improve your chances of making everything function once again. Focus on the reader's pain and desire to find a solution -- and give them some hope and insight.

Start off with a good outline and do your research. And give your full attention to creating a good title and subtitle to catch your readers interest when they come to your landing page..this will make a huge difference in generating leads with your free report.

I'm not clear on whether you would like advice on writing the actual subject matter, or if it is that you have the writing side sorted, but don't know how to make it into an ebook?

If it is 20 pages, then you're looking at 5-7000 words probably, depending upon how you lay it out. I've got to head offline now, but it would be helpful for others as well to know what in particular you are wishing to know ... is it literally everything, as in you know nothing about the subject, or how to structure the book?

Break it down into individual ideas...each idea can be a chapter. Just focus on one at a time. This makes it seem less overwhelming.

Thanks everyone for the useful inputs. I am having trouble planning it out. Can It be a combination of a few articles where each article will be a chapter.

Yes, actually I have done this very same thing.

And as someone else posted before, you can buy PLR and make it your own ebook to give away.

Whatever you do, make it good quality so the list of people you gather know you deliver quality stuff.

Someone has mentioned, do research on google by finding it "PLR + Getting your ex back"

Create the file by using Word or other free word software that you could research online. Format, spell check it well. Create your own style for consistency, in case you want to create additional ebooks in the future.

Then use aweber or getresponse or other autoresponser that you are using.

PM'ed me if you have any question. I may forward you my ebook for your reference.

If you have articles already written, sort them into chapters. Make sure they flow, one chapter leading into the next chapter. Start with an introduction - doesn't have to be long just state what the book is about, what a person can gain from reading your book.

Open Office is great for creating ebooks. Also, get or make an e-book template.

Make a graphic book cover or have one made for you - it looks more professional than just a .pdf

Include a piece about yourself "About the Author" with photo

Add a disclaimer, especially if you don't have any certifiable qualifications.

Also, state whether you want the book to be circulated for free, whether it can be included in lists/packages or as a bonus. And whether anything can be changed or not.

Include your own website and contact details.

Write as if you are speaking to your best friend. That way your readers will feel you truly understand their situation and always offer solutions.

Be honest in all you write.

I can help you organize your articles if you wish - just pm me.

    Hi SidCandid,

Here's the fastest way to product creation for the getexback niche.
Buy a PLR, type in Google "get ex back PLR".

You can get one for about $5 or lower.

Now go and re-write the PLR and give it a new title.
(use open office writer so you can save it to PDF)

    That's it.

if you need help i can help you build your writing and organizational skills, but if the idea seems to tiresome there is always paying someone to write it for you. you have to be careful when you do this though, you always want to get some sort of guarantee that the work will be quality prior to payment and if you look around you can find some quality work for a decent price

    Hi:

    Shireen here :-)

For beginner, I'd recommend you to look for a few PLR ebooks related to your niche.

Then modify, rewrite & add in more content.

    Hope it helps :-)

It is one of the biggest categories going... so what ever you do, you'll have to come up with a unique twist... or it will be the same old thing that they already have read.
Try writing from your own personal experiences and tell a story... people love stories.

Maybe you could interview people who have gone through the experience and tell their stories... each with a different twist. Just an idea to ponder...

First of all, get your ideas on paper. It may be best to go somewhere quiet where you won't be disturbed and your thoughts can flow. Then assemble them into chapters and sections. There's a good guide, at create-an-ebook.co.uk, which takes you step by step through creating an ebook.

Personally, I would never want to discourage somebody from pursuing a project that they have their heart set on, BUT... (there's always a "but")

The "get your ex back" topic has been beaten to death and written about thousands of times. Talk about saturated. Combining the fact that you have no clue how to write this with the fact that your probably can't offer anything new to the topic (i.e., some mind blowing, incredible, techniques or information that the thousand other authors missed), this could be a big waste of time.

I'd either promote another "get your ex-back" product and earn money that way OR consider another e-Book topic (maybe how to "score" with women or men guaranteed, "get any woman/man" you want -- there's plenty of new things to ad to that topic I think).

But if you think you have something amazing to contribute to the "get your ex back" niche, then I'd use your friend "Google" and type in "how to create an ebook" or something along those lines and learn the mechanics to writing a quality e-book. Then you're going to have to figure out how/where to promote your e-Book, how to accept payments and with what, and all that other good stuff.

Focuse on headings so you can plan and structure you content. I find most ppl get side track and go off topic. Make sure you have useful quality content that addresses common issues within your niche.

Hi is the eBook meant to be a freebie or is it the actual product you will be selling?

The get your ex back niche already has some excellent information products and so if you want to enter this niche you maybe better advised to promote one of these instead rather than trying to create your own.

If you do want to produce your own eBook remember that with non fiction structure is very important, and so you want to have a clear outline of what you will cover before you start writing.

Make sure that you understand your customer core problems and then identify the ways these problems can be solved.
