Got 2000 clicks in 1 hour!! Anyone else tried this?

I opened an account with elephant-traffic just to see if it was any good and just put in $60 to see what it could do and just put in a basic broad campaign. I checked a couple of hours later and it had sent me 2000 hits , got a few sign ups as well, it might have been more had I used a more targeted campaign I guess.

Just wondered if anyone else had used them and what the results were?

Ouch... You got 6,000 hits and only a "few" sign-ups?

What site are you sending the traffic to if I may ask?

      "Hits" are only server requests.

      Do you mean "visits"?

If you are aiming to convert, the quality of you traffic is a lot more important than your numbers.

Elephant Traffic re-directs other domain name/website traffic to your own website. This is not targeted traffic.

Elephant traffic, in my past experience (6 months), barely returned my investment. Im sure if I did more testing, I could find a good traffic source from certain sites and convert them better. Maybe Ill give it another shot..

Did you make money off those few conversions or did you loose money? Cause of you lost and you can't refine it then what's the point?

Man, don't tell me you are out $60 bucks with just a few sign ups... ouch.

Even if you had gotten a lot of sign ups... the only return on investment is when the check clears - in my opinion.

Ok I`ll give you a million hits that dont give a s*"T what you`re selling for $60.....who wins??? traffic is just traffic unless it`s targeted.

A lot of these services are either redirects or pop-under windows which are not only annoying for visitors but they are never targeted.

Along with the above posts about low quality visitors, I want to mention another downside to doing this...

Your search engine rankings can take a huge hit if you buy this volume of traffic.

Your bounce rates will be in the high 90's and your traffic will suddenly increase by an obscene amount and then return to normal.

This is a very un-natural scenario and the big G will know exactly what you are doing.

On the flip-side, I am still yet to see these mass traffic systems work in any IM business so if you do happen to make sales from those subscribers you received then let us know. It would be an easy thing to scale up if so.

Then couldn't you nuke a competitor for a modest investment?

      .

        Yes temporarily

But when the traffic stops your sites rankings eventually go back down after a while

Thanks for all your answers, it was $60 that had been made anyway so it was 'playing with the house's money' if you like, just thought I'd see what it was like, I wasn't actually thinking I'd burn through that in an hour or so, but now I know and now others know so it wasn't a total waste.

For $60, I could have ran a Facebook ad campaign to get 100 - 200 targeted visitors and get much more out of it than just a "few sign ups."
