My first payment in excess of $100 was to rewrite a PLR book for someone who asked me would I do it. I didn't even apply for the job.

Because I've just started out on promoting CB and JV products. So... How do you guys do it? Do advertise your hop link to the sales page to ad words? Or do you advertise your blog/site that contains your review of the product and your hop link to ad words? Either way, how much does it usually cost you with ad words? Please bear with me, I really don't know much at all about ad words. | |

I see a lot of Internet Marketers old school and new school who seem to be very successful in this internet business. Can you share in this forum how you made your first $100 to $1000 online? I ask this because it must have been an eye opening, exciting and energizing when you made your first money online. Most of us are still waiting for that moment and will like to know how you did it. Share please how you break the ice. Thanks! |

Writing service in the 'for hire' section. Actually come to think of it I did ok on Ebay in the early 2000's. Never thought of it as 'internet marketing' back then. Just as selling stuff. But that was when you could sell your gramma's doilies as priceless antiques. Jeremy |

The first money I ever earned online was brought about by offering my coding services for free. I'd only just learned the particular language I wanted to develop into a business so the only way I was going to get clients initially was by offering to do it for free. Eventually I built some what of a 'name' for myself and then I could start charging appropriately. You've got to start somewhere... and there's worse things in life you could be doing than helping people out so it wasn't really wasted time for me. Helping and learning all at the same time. Take care Steve |

Our first online money came by selling physical products on E-bay, at first drop shipping then through buying wholesale and filling orders directly. When we started building websites it came from Adsense and affiliate work. |

haha this brings back memories of last year... I made my first 100$ online selling ebooks... PLR ebooks It was difficult and time consuming, I have moved on since then, but all in all it was a good experience. The reason I remember this so well is because when you first start internet marketing and you get your first sale... BOOOM, excitement would be an understatement. I don't think anyone would forget their first sale online... it's just an exciting time and the beginning of something new. ... and thats how I made my first 100$ online! |

Here is one more Internet Marketer who started on eBay. To be fair I worked previously as a web designer for a Microsoft Partner. I started on eBay selling used paperback books, made an easy $20,000 that first year. Of course no one buys used paperbacks any more so that market is long gone. After a couple of years I came out with my first Internet Marketing title, based on eBay and sold on eBay as a computer CD. "Internet Auctions: Striking It Rich in the 90's" As you can see from the title, that was a long time ago. But eBay is still a good market for my product line. We currently also sell on Amazon, through our web site, through affiliates, etc.

I'll never forget the day I made my first $0.25 on AdSense. I was so stoked! Two months of long, hard work finally paid off! Now, two months of work for $0.25 is a really crappy hourly rate. But...it proved to me that is was possible. And so it began... |

Writing. I am a former high school English teacher, so my hobby is writing. After that, I created my own sites on Wordpress , read everything I could get my hands on about affiliate marketing, and did product reviews. Before the Google hit, product reviews were my main earners.

That would be better than what I did... All I did was post ads in digital point forum until I made some sales. What I would recommend is having up sells, OTO, and follow up emails to make more sales. ... it's all in the follow up! |

I make my 1st $100 and $1000 from List Building. I simply just put a simple squeeze page which is directly link to an affiliate product. Once my website is live online, i simply just focus the majority of my time on traffic generation activities. Not am I am making money from promoting affiliate products, I am building a list too |

It was time of GeoCities... I made my first $36.00 on eBay when I built and sold a website using free domain and free hosting. Next one sold for $66.00 I did some calculations. I worked at grocery store making minimum wage in California at like $5.00/hour or so... So I did the calculations that it takes me to work 7 hours to make $35.00 and only 4 hours to build a website plus it was "work from home". My third website sold for $120+ and I was very excited. Later I was selling websites for way, way more. I quit my job. It was interesting to come back to the store about 3 years later and see those same mean, backstabbing, butt-kissing, fake-smiling workers still scanning at cash registers. Right now I make good living working online from Alabama. |

I made my first $3,000 writing articles and linking them to a squidoo page which linked to a affiliate offer, then I took all that money and invested it in auto responder, hosting, some other various services and paid traffic. That was 6 years ago and my business is booming still, I have more than doubled sales every year since I started. |

My first money online was a online clothing store i made through Godaddy. I did really well with it , but for me the best part was the surprise of getting money when i put adsence on my site and found out that they paid me for clicks that was almost as rewarding as seeing all the sales from the store.

affiliate marketing. I created a blog in a certain market/industry. Within each post I post, I will ask readers to also check out my review of a certain program (this review is also found on my blog). The review gives them the positive and negative sides of the product and gives a call to action. I then created backlinks mostly from article, video and social media marketing. That's how I did it (: Oh yes, and a H*LL lot of belief in yourself as well as discipline. <-- most important |

For me, it was selling affiliate products through google adwords. Then I went on the opposite side of google and tried adsense and made $100 time after time there. If you want to do it Samuel, I suggest building an email list, for the money is in the list as they say. |

To answer this more broadly, it was a form of focus. An ultra specific, laser targeted focus, that fed off of nothing but anger. Why was I getting so angry? I was getting angry for these reasons - 1) Being dependent on others to tell me what niches are good or what I should do. 2) Baring witness to a rotting slew of vague and non specific advice. 3) Criticism on every idea I was considering, regardless of how good or bad the ideas actually were. 4) Feeling lost and like I'd never make good money untill I started ignoring peoples advice. 5) Feeling angry at the concept that I'm probably smarter than most people I'm asking for help. So I stopped asking for help, and became really focused. So for me, it was anger that led to focus. I'm the type of person who believes it is perfectly healthy to get angry at yourself on a daily basis. The goal should be simple. Do whatever you have to do to get 1 step closer to money (short of robbing people). Visualize the system in your mind. How the wheels will turn, and what the end goal is. Then implement your plan when you are angry enough with yourself. Thats all I can really say. Some people never reach that point. But I'm definitely happy that I did. =] (btw, anger and happiness are just 2 sides of the same coin - you can never have one without the other) |
