Sales Funnel and JV Question

Its my first post so be gentle LOL

I have been doing research for the last 60 days on IM and the power of it. By trade I have been in the Religious Marketing Niche for about 12 years. I have a few clients with vast amounts of audio and written content.

I am at the crossroads at the moment. On paper my sales funnel looks like the following.

Offer free video, audio, e-book in exchange for e-mails > Place them into auto-responder sos that compliments the e-book > 5-7 days offer expanded product or membership site with various upsells > whats your recommendation for those that don't opt in?

Other info... my first IM JV has a list that has never been used... he has a built in market for his niche inside of the Religious niche that hasn't been tapped.

Will be making a proposal Thur or Friday... what are you recommendations on the % split? I will be fronting all of the money for e-mail marketing, membership sites and any thing else the JV will only provide content. That which is already produced just needs to be converted into an IM friendly format (membership site or video training).

Please let me know your thoughts.

I've been in the IM business for several years now and my mentor suggests broadcast emailing twice a day, every day. Once in the morning and once in the evening. In the 9:00AM just give good content and helpful information. In the 6:00pm email advertise one of your offers.

Plan out your funnel a year in advance. What is your lead offer? What is your upell? Cross sell? What are your backend offers? Are you going to create and promote your own product?(recommended) What affiliate products are you offering?

Most things can be outsourced if they aren't directly related to generating revenue. Once you have your funnel in place you should concentrate on 2 things. Traffic and increasing your conversion rate.

    Good luck.

@Steve - How did you introduce yourself to your lists? Are you seen as the marketing arm? For the last few years i have been introducing my self to new clients as project manager of a marketing company (my own) which works when doing stuff offline. Since I will be using the JVs list whats your suggestion.

I do plan to offer my own products after I launch his first free money-grab, paid product and membership site. Whats your thoughts on percentage split?
