Get a Higher Email CTR

Hey everyone, I just wanted to share my thoughts on getting higher CTR on your emails.

I have been playing around with changing when I send my emails out to people on a hole host of different websites of mine. I started sending people emails from M-F 6am-9am. And this was going well. But I still wasn't satisfied. I wanted to play with the days and times.

I found that when I would send people my emails on Saturday and Sunday, I had around a whopping 40% higher CTR than my weekday emails.

What I was finding (well what I guess anyways) is that people are just bogged down during the week with loads and loads of emails that they just were not opening mine.

But on the weekend they seemed to have less clutter in their inboxes for me to compete with so they were opening mine and clicking on my links or whatever I wanted them to do.

Have you all had success with these days as well?

I've been sending my emails on Wednesdays between 6am to 9am. So it falls within their morning email walk thru but also their pretty much free and caught up with emails for the most part. Sending emails on the weekend would be a good idea that I haven't tried yet because I would think that people are out with their families and trying to relax.

For some reason, people seem to mail me from Midnight to about six a.m. I delete most in the morning to get to the important emails. So I try to email during lunchtimes and weekends now. Seems to work better for me.

I've never thought of this and just to test it out, I will try it to see if the CTR increases. Thanks for the heads up

For what it's worth, I see a modest increase if I wait and email later in the day. I try to time it for either when people who work day jobs in the US are just about to pack up and head home, or when they get home, have had dinner, and are settling in to surf or work online. My list is in the IM niche, so it may not apply to other niches, but it seems to help a bit for this niche.
