Is Internet Marketing Really That Easy?

Join Clickbank or CPA Network -> Pick a Product or Offer -> Set Up Wordpress Mini-Site with Link to Product / or CPA Item -> Do some organic SEO for lower competition KW's -> Get some Facebook or Google PPC ads for more competitive KW's -> Stack Cash?

Now I'm well aware that there is an art into internet marketing. I've been making 35% of my income online through freelancing SEO-Services. I know I'm over simplifying:

"To be a great artist: Buy Paint & Canvas -> Paint something everyone loves"

BUT, I'm beginning to discover most people DO NOT make it successful because they don't take action and don't learn from mistakes.

I know that what I've described is on the lowest level of IM, whereas you could then increase and create a niche site, or you could create an information/authority website and thus get more traffic and thus even more offers could be promoted - BUT as someone just starting out, did I describe the general formula?

I've noticed very specific "ProductReview.com" type-pages, and I've noticed more broad "TypeofProductReviews" (like hosting reviews). Did these people just follow the simple formula like I described? I'm not looking for hype, or crap about how some guy makes 5k/day in just 10 minutes/day. I know it's hard work. I just want to know I'm on the right track.

    What's up James!

Absolutely! Internet Marketing isn't "Hard" it's quite easy actually. It's just tedious, time consuming, and repetitive at times. These are the things that a lot of people confuse with the word "Hard".

Also, in response to your "Formula" It's really that simple. Although you missed something, in that Wordpress site that you're going to set up, you can't just throw the link in there. You must write quality content that people will actually read. The pages that you noticed "Typeofproductreviews" I wouldn't really recommend doing a site like that. I like more targeted sites. A website like that is also a lot harder to rank in the search engines. I've heard that review sites are starting to be a lot harder to rank for, so I personally would stay away from them. Although, it wouldn't hurt to try.

According to me and as far as I know what matters the most is the Sales Page of the product you are choosing to promote... Before going with any product read the entire salespage your self and see that do you even feel your self interested even once to get this product instantly....

If the answer is "YES" then select that product and go for it....

    All the best

Internet marketing isn't exactly hard, all you need is to put some effort and time into researching the suitable way and method that suits your lifestyle. Many people find it hard because they give up half way.

It can be very easy. I noticed that you mainly mention seo, wordpress, authority sites, and ranking, especially in your last 2 paragraphs.

Remember, internet marketing is waaaaaay more than just making websites and doing seo.

You don't ever have to make a website and you can still earn easy money..I've generated tens of thousands of dollars in the past couple of years from ebay alone!!!...no making websites, no seo

My first wso was profitable for me...no making websites, no seo.

The internet is so vast and so accesible that it makes marketing to people easier, faster, and cheaper than ever!

It's a matter of recognizing the many money making opportunities it provides, choosing your area, and then mining that area for all it's worth, while expanding from there.

It's not hard, and it's not easy, but it is time consuming.

It's hard if you don't know what you are doing. It's a process, kind of like baking a cake. Once you know what to do, it's easy.

Internet marketing sounds easy, but you will not get successful if you don't know the targeted market.

It's all about focusing on what you have to do, not about dreaming about driving a Ferrari and living in a beach house, working 4 hours a week. This cpuld absolutely be the reality for some ppl but it takes time to get there.

Get one thing working, then duplicate it if possible. Take help from others if you can.

Awesome Info guys - thanks for the responses. The list is absolutely important from what I've heard. I understand you can make 1 dollar per user per month.

So what's the art that separates the successful vs the unsuccessful? The difference between making 10/week and 100/day?

Is it a simple as trial, error, and improvement? The right training or mentorship? (Any information sources you can point me to would be awesome =)

    Again, thank you all!

Action and Productivity. The amount of action you take WILL determine your success. Even if it's completely wrong and doesn't make you any money, you will have learned what not to do and you can always tweak it to figure out what works. Those that are successful ALL took action, those that are not successful have either given up, or are still on their way to success.

It depends on your definition of "easy".
I am inexperienced at this and know absolutely nothing about it but willing to learn. I am a disabled, forced retired residential construction worker.
Busting your butt for ten hours a day in the hot sun while swatting insects from your face is not only hard work but also aggravating.
This is my first post and would like to say hi, I am quite glad I found this site, it seems to be loaded with information I can use to get started.
I've got a couple of ideas for sites of my own but know nothing as of now. I'll be checking out the site for tips and tricks.

        Thanks for having me CStock

It's no way as easy as some people would make you believe. There's a lot to learn and to implement and of course, there's the trial and error part which can take some fine tuning.

The easy bit is once you've mastered it. It just tends to run itself and it's very easy to maintain and grow.

I will say IM is very hard. You have to have dedication, perseverence. You have to stay very focused and follow through. You have to be able to take rejection and failure over and over. You have to devote enough time to learn everything. Then after you think you know everything come here to find out you still don't and have a lot to learn.

Internet Marketing is not for Wussy's so if you are a wussy jump ship now.

Starting off on the right foundation does make building a successful business easier, however it doesn't make the actual work any easier. With reference to syndication marketing where you get your content published on other peoples websites, you still need to produce high quality content, which takes time and effort. You still have to manage your time etc. like you would any other business.

    I think I can I think I can I think I can I think I can I think I can I think I can.

I will not stop until I make a living online. Here's to the journey. The thing that really gets me is that I know people less talented than me have made it happen. There is absolutely no reason why I can't make it happen. Time, perseverance, trial and error, mental fortitude, and creativity. Let's make it happen.

Yep, doing all those things individually is not difficult at all, and most people with a little bit of technical knowledge would be able to do them. Having said that, what does make it challenging is gathering the mental energy to remain focused and patient, and to be strong enough not to be hindered by slow results. You also do need a creative spark to be successful, since there is a lot of competition in the world of IM these days. It's not impossible at all... it's mostly a mental battle, one that any one can win with a lot of hard work!
